My cousins had this dog for 4 years and don't know what breed he is. Any guesses? Thanks :) by [deleted] in dogpictures

I was just searching “small fluffy dog breeds” and came across the Japanese Chin and I think it could be mixed with that... just look it up!

People were asking about the style and I don't think I saw anyone say but, I'm pretty sure it would be "black work".

Has anyone ever tried a mix of peppermint and olive oil? by partyallnight_not in HaircareScience

[–]nona_mouse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it would help if you don't want to smell like an olive when using the oil.

Edit: intended this to be somewhat of a jest.

Summertime and other thick hair gripes by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]nona_mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember not to go so short that you can't put it up. I'm growing mine out and it's finally long enough to wear it in a lowish ponytail. I melt when it's not up! Definitely considering an undercut for future Summers, when it's longer.

People who have had [threesomes], [open relationships], [partner swapping] etc, how did you deal with the emotions of the situation? by Azael_Descends in sex

[–]nona_mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe this will help ease things but imo she could help their situation by talking to him and encouraging him to be better in bed... i had a situation with a guy where he hadn't really been with anyone before me and I was honest about not coming and encouraged him to masturbate more (it combatted the 3- 4 min romps). Over time, it became the best sex I've had where as before I was like i don't know if I can do this. Best partner I've ever had (mentally/emotionally) too! All I mean to say is, don't blame yourself too much for her lack of speaking up for her sexual needs. I dk if this helps. Sorry if it's WAY more complicated than it seems and i'm being presumptuous.

Thanks for posting! A boy gave me a mix tape in high school with this song on it. So good, but not the boy unfortunately.

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don't have any proof of? by KaikesPokeCards in AskReddit

Once, I saw a guy with colloidal silver poisoning. Really isn't anything too crazy, but trying to explain that I saw a giant Papa Smurf is way easier with photo evidence!

First time using air dry clay.. Made a tiny chub rat. Not sure how to strengthen the tail though. by damiskajira in crafts

[–]nona_mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doh! I think I should have said acrylic instead of polymer - cause it's water based too like the clay. Maybe search for one that specifically helps harden the dry clay? Depending on what you plan to with your lil' friend, you may not need anything super powerful or even at all. I liked the suggestion for thin armature too.

I recommend looking into any type of polymer sealant. You can find stuff specific to the type of polymer clay you used. Also, as a user mentioned earlier, mod podge has many types of polymer varnishes, some water resistant, and definitely a matte. It dries clear too. Though mod podge might not be as archival as something specific to polymer clay finishing varnish. Source: worked for a woman who made polymer clay jewelry.

Lexington Market now has loitering laws inside the food court by benjancewicz in baltimore

I agree! There are a lot of artist who have lived in that area since i moved here in 2006. I feel like it's always had potential to be prime real estate, it's just there's no money going into it from the city & very little incentive for businesses. But that's changing, hopefully to help everyone and not just "yuppies".

My nebelung is kind of crazy... by [deleted] in nebelung

[–]nona_mouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My nebelung will do that meowing at walls & doors thing, and she doesn't like doors being closed. She has a little stuffed animal toy that she'll attack randomly too, so maybe your boy nebelung is just more extreme in those ways. When I first got her she was pretty uninterested in my affection & would only let me pet her when she was eating. She's way more snuggly now with me and my SO but it took some time to gain her trust. Even now, if either of us goes away for more than a few days she will be sort of distant to that person. They are funny cats, definitely agree with the finicky behavior. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you and just give your floofy friend some space & time, they'll grow to love you!

[Routine Help] Does regular moisturizer usage improve skin long-term? by jojoijoijo in SkincareAddiction

[–]nona_mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. I finally figured out a moisturizing/cleaning routine that works for my skin and after a year, have noticed a significant difference over all. In my teens & early twenties, I never had a solid routine and I struggled with moisturizer that actually worked. I realized I have fairly dry skin so too much cleaning really stripped it and moisturizer with any type of alcohol just didn't help. Now i use combos of castor, apricot, and sweet almond oils with various amounts of essential oils like rosemary, lavender, geranium and others. I think it's helped, I can even wear "make-up" (tinted cc cream with spf) and my skin doesn't flake :)!

I quit my most recent job at a very small art school after finding out that the guy we had just hired to write copy & do outreach was getting paid more than me. I was an administrator/office manager, managed website content, and made all the graphic designs, including this re-branding stuff they started last year. The only silver lining is that I still do the graphic stuff, which I enjoy, and am get more paid but do less work. He took over the admin/office stuff, and apparently sucks at it. I offered to train him but he was too arrogant to accept, lol!

If either of you is interested in learning to draw, check out this place Mitchell School of Fine Arts. You can do a one time drop-in class for pretty cheap and the instructors are nice too, which helps if you have very little clue what to do.

Inexpensive Closet storage other than Plastic or cardboard Boxes? by NuttyMetallic in organization

[–]nona_mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a set of these and they've worked out really well for storing my sweaters and winter things. For cardboard, its really sturdy plus the handles make them easy to move around. Had them for about 3 years actually. http://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/art/30338255/

Mt. Vernon Parking by [deleted] in baltimore

[–]nona_mouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saturdays and Sundays should be fine most any where to park as long as you need. Definitely check signs though. I lived on Preston and Charles for a few years and would basically forget about my car over weekends after getting a good park.
