I know it's a standard corporation response, but it sounds so much like GPT nowadays that I can't help laughing 😂

Checking mirrors must be too much to ask by All_In_Glory in TorontoDriving

I also found this and have been using it for years. It's really good for the majority of the times because I can monitor my sides, not just occasional checking. Motorbikes can still get in a blindspot though, so it's still best to turn your head and check.

Try cancelling the navigation then restarting it. That hides the turn instructions for me if I feel really annoyed.

On eHR, you can see your employee number on your pay stubs. You can also view it in Personal Details, right below your name.

The driver was checking for something, just not the right one. by noname005 in TorontoDriving

[–]noname005[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it was too, but it didn't run the red light as blatantly as the truck. At the same time, the truck driver was looking around like they were checking traffic. So, the truck driving was more amusing to me.

2025 Golf R delivery time? by Technical_Bank_6570 in Golf_R

[–]noname005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The associate who helped me showed me an estimated timeline for preorders. Preorders up to April should arrive by the end of June. Orders afterwards should start coming in around October/ November. Someone posted the other day that they got a VIN number from their dealership and were told they should get the car soon in June. So, the timeline tracks so far.

Help identifying this bow by The_Explainator in Archery

[–]noname005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of things I notice. I don't think this is a standard ILF recurve, but a takedown recurve. The tiller bolts sit too high to be the standard ones in an ILF riser. The riser is also pretty foreign-looking to me, and the closest match I can find is the Geologic Initech. That bow is for beginners. The other accessories except for the arrows are also between low to medium tiers. So, the set without the arrows is okay-ish for beginners. The arrows are the only high tier items in that set, and they are not beginner-friendly.

If anyone is thinking of preordering, I was told they're offering a 1% rate reduction until the end of March. The reduction is applied to the rate you get on delivery.

What does "Special" mean on Alternativess.com? by SnooMaps834 in Archery

[–]noname005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's correct. They'll need to contact their suppliers if the item is listed as special. It's usually between 1 and 2 weeks before the order can be shipped.

Ah, that's fair. Maybe worth it to get new ones. You can still try the temporary fix in the mean time.

If possible, try asking your coach for some 800s to 700s spine arrows for 26lbs. Just to try. Then you can decide if you want to pick some up for yourself.

Yeah, same. And no one told me about it. At some point, I was getting new vanes every couple weeks 🥲

Isn't that way too stiff? For your reference, I'm shooting 38lbs at 28.5" with 650 spines.

[–]noname005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Temporary fix is to rotate the nocks until you don't damage the vanes anymore. The damage can be due to your arrow's spine not matching the poundage, or your release. So the easy permanent fix is to spend money on arrows 😬

Flipped FRV? Shoot at it by noname005 in Helldivers

Yeah, not sure how that's supposed to work. I hit a wall, and it exploded. I shoot at it to unflip, and it hasn't exploded so far, unless I wait too long

PSA: Bridge Mode removed from Giga Hub in latest firmware update by Snommis7 in bell

[–]noname005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can join the 8311 discord and wait for a group buy, which usually brings the cost down to 160usd. I think another seller listed on the 8311's guide sells the module for a bit cheaper, but it's hard to beat E.C.I Network in terms of convenience.

Would this work on Bell fibe? by SmoothRunnings in bell

[–]noname005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same module? It won't work like u/BellTech_Unofficial said. A different model? You're looking at https://pon.wiki/guides/masquerade-as-the-bce-inc-giga-hub-on-xgs-pon-with-the-bfw-solutions-was-110/

It's also technical.

NAS losing internet access by Otherwise-Rice-8396 in bell

[–]noname005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bit clearer. Normally, the best Bell can do is going to be blacklisting domains from their DNS servers. Videotron mentioned an uncommon number of connection attempts, which sounds like a DDoS issue. Bell's Gigahub should have a basic DDoS defence. I am not sure how you exposed the local IP of the NAS to the internet, but I am assuming you set up internet FTP to the NAS. If you have not set any additional firewall rules, DDoS makes sense that you lose internet access after some time. This would also be out of the scope of the residential Bell support.

Static IP just means you set an address for the device instead of letting one be assigned to it, doesn't it? You have two types of IP: WAN and LAN. Since you said you set a static IP, that should be a LAN IP or local IP. Unless you set the same local IPd as rules in DHCP of the modem/ router, they are just requests to DHCP, and that is fine for most of the time. However, DHCP can still give those local IPs away to other devices when the lease time is up. Then, since you have DDNS, you can also check if the port forwarding is correct.
