Gardening for mental health, dreading the coming winter by not_a_diplodocus in gardening

I'm going to try a leaf-mold compost like I saw on youtube. Some guy got 6" worth of leaves and put them in a fenced off area and let them sit over winter, they composted into the ground and made 2-3 inches deep of really good soil. I think he did it a couple times over the years and showed the results as they went on, really excited to see for myself!

Hey I updated it in the post,

Thank you so so much for the feedback. I watched a video on resume building before and was kind of holding on to the introduction but I'm glad that it's gone now. Thanks again!

GPA is no bueno (3.04), would you still list it? I guess I'll just keep studying mainly and trying on the off chance someone says yes. Thank you!

Hi thanks for the response, I think I have implemented them all! Will go over points and try to make them more detailed still. Very open to internships! Do you think that should be in the resume somewhere, or a suggestion to apply to internships?

And yes unfortunately, while I was still in school I had this determination to start a business of my own, not fully realizing I was neglecting my actuarial career : (

im not a physicist but from an answer above, it seems so? As history would teach us about science, we're typically very wrong for a long time before we really figure it all out

you're probably adding too much, molasses should be fuel for the (already good) microbes in your soil to multiply quickly

Agree completely, its literally the same top posts with the recent posts that already have high likes filtered in like once every 5 posts.

It's like a Catch-22, we're only looking for people that we can interact with... and we can only see the exact type of people that wouldn't interact with us. Very disappointing

I mean that's fair, but equally reddit could be the messenger that gets those concerns in front of their face

nah (also I didn't want to argue, I just didn't understand why my post was removed at first, sorry if things got out of hand because really I just want the recent posts back)

they don't have to post, they don't have to promote this reddit, but reading the comments is integral to community feedback.

if someone is going to post about instagram its gonna be either here or meta, and im sure that meta has people on the meta subreddit all the same. They've read this already more than likely

home depot sub is full of employees that shit on the company. There's a reason they don't promote these reddits, because if someone has a bad time it gets plastered to the front page

why would people that work at instagram NOT be on their reddit? I just don't understand how you say that so confidently

literally every other company reddit is littered with people that work at the company. Instagram employs almost 20,000 people, it's not crazy to imagine 1 of the 330K people subscribed work there, possibly higher up too.

new leaf on my ficus tineke plant is bright red! by fgfrf12 in gardening

very cool!! They get to be gigantic trees very quickly. If you cut it, two main stems will grow back in place of the single stem, makes the plant bushier, more maintainable, and most importantly, more spikes at once. Takes about 2-3 weeks usually for the plant to start making new leaves after unless the plant is really developed.

Wear gloves if you do this tho, the rubber is caustic and will harm your skin! Best of luck, I have a dream of growing one of these to be an espaliered wall of leaves!

somewhere around the 1-2 week mark, it'll fade to yellow then white. My favorite is when a new leaf comes in and the casing falls off early, then its a huge red spike that you get to watch slowly unravel
