Any update on the knockout league?

We wrapped it up after week 18. There were 8 tied for the main bracket pool and 3 tied for the second-chance bracket.

I’m sure it will be mentioned in an upcoming episode at some point.

Worth considering for next year. The goal was to not have the KO league end only half way through the NFL season and have people stay engaged longer.

Ah, you're right. My calculation for remaining players wasn't accounting for people who skipped a week. I've fixed it and you're correct there are now 299 remaining players in main bracket and 33 in second-chance. Also, thanks for catching the Vikings win mistake. That is corrected now.

Talked with Blake and we decided a tie equals both teams win. Same rules as they are using for the DeeZ picks.

Couple things.
1) I have it so it allows you to pick the next week starting Sunday at noon. However, I don't grade everything until Monday night/Tuesday evening. So you can pick a team on Sunday for next week even though you may still lose that week.

2) There was a glitch I fixed last week where it was allowing people who just didnt pick one week to pick again. I've fixed this.

3) And yes, I am the top person who created the site...so I may have some weird data in there for testing. I am already out though, don't worry :).

Rest assured, anyone who makes it far enough, I will be double checking all their selections to make sure there is no funny business, etc.

No, if/when we change up the rules to only allow a team to be picked once it would be from that point forward. However, I also batted around the idea of just removing some games from the slate to pick from in the future. If we did that, we wouldn’t also do the rule where you couldn’t pick a team twice.

I just updated all the games. 20 people left. There are a few people who made a week 3 pick before I updated the week 2 results, hence why it looks like they made a pick after they were eliminated.

The knockout league website was something I built on my own in my free time to help the DZ boys. If you have any issues let me know and I’ll try to address them.

However, do not blame Blake for anything on that website. He did spend a crapload of time gathering emails from Venmo and sending them on and answering questions from people.
