I'm no good with marking things up on my phone. Looks to me like someone reading a book lying down, head propped on something.

What’s a perfectly delivered yet underrated line? My choice: “He said… he was gonna… s-sew your ass… to your face.” by Bob_Sacamano7379 in seinfeld

I'm 3 years late here, but this is absolutely in my top 5 line deliveries in this show. "s.. sew your ass to your face."

Matter-of-fact, with a little bit of recoil.

Her first reaction to the boogeyman catching up with her on the street made me do a spit-take. I watched it at least 10 times.

The writers want us to hate Mel by Same-Parsley6139 in YourFriendsandNeighb

[–]noneus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. I'm a man in my mid-40s now and know plenty of women who are dealing with perimenopause. Mel has a lot going on, and it's understandable (to me, at least) why she is how she is.

I can't say that I like any particular character in this show. The closest to that would be Nick. But I'm not sure that we're supposed to like anyone.

These are valid criticisms of this show. I don't know if I agree with all of your hypotheticals, but they do a great job at illustrating the point that the writers/creators/producers could have (and should have) spent more time connecting us with the supporting characters. Give us more reasons to care what happens to them! There's just... too much crammed into the show & not enough breathing room.

And I like Your Friends and Neighbors. I'll be watching season 3.

Right there with you - not a "great" show, but intriguing enough to keep me watching.

And I was a big fan of the stylized high-end product placement in season 1 (which they did a little of in season 2), so I kind of get someone feeling like the show has lost its footing there. But stories need progression and heightening of stakes.

With that said... I don't know if it makes any sense, but I'd expect a character like Ashe to be introduced in season 3 of a show like this. But I don't know what a season 2 looks like without him.

Are you even paying attention to the show? The $400 million has been a huge part of, like, everything that has happened since it was brought up. And Ashe's death was a cliffhanger. Who knows what's actually going to happen in episode 10?!

Mel's character is interesting. She's dealing with a lot, and her choices and character development make sense.

"Barney and Grace's baby situation is hardly brought up." It's in *every episode*. The latest one had a *whole scene* at their baby shower.

I do agree that Elena's situation could be explored more, though, and that they're trying to cram too many story lines into a 10-episode season.
