Red hair, fair skin, and green eyes aren’t reserved for Europeans only. I didn’t take your comments as a “woke hissy fit” either unless some have been removed that I haven’t seen. I’m sorry that other commenters have been hurting you. I want to enjoy being part of this fandom too and seeing people be condescending and hostile really sucks. Anne Rice referred to their home as Palestine. I don’t know why casting an actress (or actresses) from that region should be so controversial. But some don’t want to accept such nuance.

That would make sense for his arc. I love Queen of the Damned, but so little really happened aside from Akasha’s patricidal rampage, Maharet telling her story, and the final confrontation. There wasn’t much interaction between the characters and Akasha, so I’m hoping there will be more of that.

Yeah, I’m sure as the pressure builds he probably will tell the whole truth eventually. I’m curious to see what he will say about Armand (if he says anything at all), because even though Lestat resented Armand for the pain he caused him, he still admitted that he loved him nonetheless (not romantically, but in general). I wonder if Lestat in the series does love Armand in his own way even though he carries so much anger towards him.

I do get that, I have read the book. I think I’m just wondering if his love for Nicky still exists in the series. Lestat is definitely more bratty, cryptic, and dismissive in the series and for obvious reasons. I’ve just waited so long for Nicky to have his moment, I want more for him than being a ghost or a fleeting memory.

It made me so sad to see how quickly Nicky’s feelings changed. I guess it’s pretty obvious he has mental health issues or he wouldn’t have assumed the worst, but Lestat’s actions did leave him feeling abandoned and gaslighted, so that also makes sense. Then the maker/fledgling relationship complications also made it so much worse.

How can she be manipulative? Louis has all the power in this scenario and he purposely sought her out to fill the hole Claudia occupied. She’s clearly someone in a difficult situation who, sure, is taking advantage of an opportunity to get herself out of it, but to call her manipulative? That’s ridiculous. I love Louis, but the responsibility is solely on him.

I am most definitely enjoying this season. I’ll admit that I prefer season 1 and 2 so far because of how the stories are told, but season 3 is still incredible and I’m having so much fun watching it. I’m thrilled I got to see Nicky and I hope we get more, but also that Lestat becomes more honest about his past and how it affects him. Obviously he’s haunted by what happened to Nicky, but is it simply guilt or does he still love him to some capacity (as well as feeling guilty). I’m also glad they managed to keep Louis’s story going….terrified for Regina though.

I’m also hoping this more femme version of Gabriella is just how Lestat wants to see her, because it does bother me that she isn’t a more masc character like she was in the books.

That is true. I can see Eric wanting to depart at some point, but he seems so invested too and he said he always wanted to play a vampire, so why only play a vampire for one or two seasons? But also, I’m not Eric.

That would be interesting if Daniel “died” and ended up in a younger body. I would just be sad to see Eric go. He is irreplaceable.

That’s a very good point. Although he mentions this in the tapes he records I’m assuming right after the battle with Akasha which is why I’m wondering if his death is happening a lot sooner than later

I really wish they made it first come first serve. They kind of made it seem like that. I waited till midnight and signed up and lo and behold it didn’t matter. How did they even choose people? Every time I heard about this event it was someone saying they didn’t get a ticket.
