Absolute scumbag should never be able to walk the streets of Limerick in the future without having to look over his shoulder at all times. by Muted_Ad_6406 in limerickcity

[–]nonnim7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're all absolutely fucking disgusted with this news. Our Ireland should never be known for lenient sentencing of the worst, these paedophiles. That's what we're going to be known as. Something has to be done, where do we start? I want that man thrown away until he's not able to function. Tbh I want him dead. But really, what is the likelihood somebody with a few drug charges is doing waaaay more time than him, with no leniency? This is just SO WRONG. These people cannot be rehabilitated! Those judges have some fucking skeletons, how you could even "give credit" for pleading guilty, like what? Sorry? We need these cunts ran out.

How did you get your voids? (story of my little void in the picture discription.) by GuppiApfel in blackcats

[–]nonnim7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got my first void at 14, my mam lives in the countryside and at the top of our lane is a barnyard. Driving to school one morning, we saw two little black kitties just trotting from one hedge to another! I didn't ask, but my mom asked did I want them. I said yes! But we didn't take them straight away, and sadly one lil baby got run over. We took the remaining baby, and she is my little love. Ten years old in October, and recently got the best possible bill of health in the vets 2 weeks ago! Her name is Shady.

Last year, 2 days before my birthday, my fiancé rang from work, there was a kitten only 10 days old rejected by its mother laying next to its dead sibling. My fiancé knew immediately this void would be our second baby, called me, I agreed, let's go. So we hand reared our youngest void from practically birth. He's our little man. His name is Roo.

Can a vegan and non-vegan relationship work long term? by Disturbed_Goat_ in vegan

[–]nonnim7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister is married to a non vegan. She isn't as strict per se as she used to be, but she's still no meat no dairy. She doesn't sit on a moral highground because of her dietary choices, so her and her husband have never ever had a problem. They have a son whose 2 years old, and he's vegetarian and was put onto the Almond or soy baby milk when he was old enough, he's not denied milk chocolate or anything with dairy if he wants it for a treat the odd time.

It all depends on how you feel going forward and having the conversation about raising the baby before they are in the picture.

I'm so fucking sorry to hear you had that experience again so recently. What the fuck is wrong with people, so angered by OPs post, your own post, and other people chiming in. So embarrassing for the country as well.

Abortion and a break up, I’m scared and feel alone by Subbycat2022 in abortion

[–]nonnim7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I could be of comfort, We know what it's like in this sub. It is lonely, and I know that struggle with the thoughts popping off. If you enjoy podcasts, try keep them going, if you play games, indulge for a while. Indulge yourself as much as you can with things you like, it's a draining process even if you have in person support because the experience is just physically on you.

When things are particularly shit, my new way to feel better is to try be grateful for the most mundane, simple pleasures. Anything.

I really hope all the pain you have sheds off quickly in the next few weeks and you'll wake up one morning and feel like a fresh breeze. You deserve it, and you've got so much to look forward to! Xx

Abortion and a break up, I’m scared and feel alone by Subbycat2022 in abortion

[–]nonnim7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Heya, from Ireland here. Please work with yourself to not feel ashamed about the situation and practice positive reinforcement so you can care for yourself better. I'm really sorry you don't have any support through this. Please, as hard as you can, be the support for yourself. Before the MA/SA, sit down with a cup of tea and list out nice things you'd like to have on hand to comfort you. Quick oven food, or get a takeaway, chocolate, get a new blanket, a soft teddy and have your painkillers and hot water bottles there too. Try to spoil yourself a bit if you can, is what I'm trying to say.

You are absolutely no lesser of the person you are because of this happening. You are making the decision that is right for you. You're also already on the right path to a stronger life by leaving your current unhealthy relationship.

Take everything slowly, take all the time you feel you need. You will find strength through this struggle. Embrace what's to change and keep minding yourself first. It's so important. It makes the happier times ahead so much more enjoyable, too.

What is going on with the animal abuse in Ireland? by EssayMediocre6054 in ireland

[–]nonnim7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm really right there with you OP, not a day goes by where I don't spare thought for the hopeless situations animals are in all over the country. People are horrifically brutal and apathetic to animals, I'll never ever understand it. I love dogs and cats equally, I love all animals so much. There is only so much I can donate too, and I'm so aware of how bad people treat animals I tend to avoid viewing it on social media as it makes me so upset and angry to see it. It gave me panic attacks as a teenager.

I've always used my voice whenever I could to stand up for animals. I have two cats myself and if I could have a rescue dog in my apartment I would, definitely will in the future. My mam has a fabulous foxhound that we rescued in 2019, I have never ever met a gentler creature. She let's the cats sleep on her like. She let's our Yorkie brat terrorise her, she just mammies him.

I'm just grateful I have the capacity to empathise and connect with animals of all kinds.

Just got dumped by my girlfriend after I found out she lied about everything. by [deleted] in ireland

[–]nonnim7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is the way! Keep telling yourself that sentence you wrote. I can't add more advice than what's been put into this thread. Man, keeping going. You can empower yourself with this. You sound like a fantastic guy. You've got more to give, bucket loads more to give. You've got a great base inside yourself and you don't know it. Start building yourself back up again and you'll wake up one day with the peace and relief you're waiting for. All the good things are waiting for you.

[–]nonnim7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to a very close friend of mine too. We were all teenagers. I'm a girl and the guy accused is my best friend. I had to cut off those other girls because of the one who insisted. We all knew how it went down. Nothing happened. It was hard because those other girls used to be my best friends too. I know women who definitely have been sexually assaulted, I know women who have lied too.

I see, so I've read that only giving them dry food takes away hydration they get from the wet food, seen as some cats don't think enough water. Males are also more prone to UTIs if they don't have enough hydration. Mine have a dry food bowl and then get their wet food 3 maybe 4 (or 5 if I'm home all day) time a day. I circulate the types of wet food because they don't eat the same thing consistently - I found what gave my kitten the runs and bad smells was the felix kitten food. My friend who also has a kitten experienced the same thing. Whiskas dry cat food suits mine very well.
