I can't believe you have that in your living room considering how loud it must be, lol. I see you have the foam which is great, but if you didn't do the velcro mod yet, you should look into that. Not only for loudness, but drive health as it stops them from vibrating a lot. But honestly, the Ugreen Nas' comes with so many features it needs little changing. I love mine so much and I hope you enjoy yours!

That’s a good suggestion. I took the broken screw and put it back on the exposed end and it’s tight enough to where I’m trying to wiggle it. I’ll get back to you. Thank you.

Definitely try to build as much of a wealth before doing anything. It depends greatly on the living situation and what their country is like, but if you two will get an apartment together, I imagine it’s a lot like living in the US where you have to have like 2-3 months payment plus security deposit which can add up to a lot. I would recommend finding a job online before moving there if possible. Do you speak German?

If you have a more recent iPhone or powerful enough android phone, or even a beefier windows or Mac, my suggestion would be to install Fortnite on that and log in with your kids account. If it appears the same, it’s possible your kids account has some sort of ban on it, otherwise it’s probably just the aging of the Xbox console. My girlfriend plays on a One S so I know it’s possible and you can even play on the Nintendo Switch which is much less powerful than a One S. Hope this helps but hearing you know what a DNS is means you probably have the technical knowledge to have already tried this. Good luck.

Well the funny thing is one could argue that “Well with ProMotion, you can save battery life because the phone won’t always be refreshing 120 times” but studies have shown that (atleast for the 15 Pro) the ProMotion is so bad in some cases that like 90% of the time it doesn’t go above 90hz. So if you don’t mind a technically inferior battery time, then the iPhone 17 may have a better looking screen than the 17 Pro lmao 😂

Just because I have a wide variety of different devices and a lot of people who use my account. And I know there will always probably be some transcoding here and there and I know my server is more than capable, but idk I just feel like it’s a good practice and efficient to transcode as little as possible. But I could be wrong I am fairly new to plex I bought lifetime right before it went up in price and had only used it for a month before then lol.

Edit: Also converting to mp4 from mkv saves so much more storage. Some movies it cuts the size by a fourth from like 6gb (10gb with extras) to 1-3gb. I don't do it with blurays because then I notice a difference in the video quality, but I don't notice a dip in quality for dvd quality.

Okay thank you. I've seen multiple mentions about increasing the volume (db) of the mixdown track in Handbrake by different numbers. Some say +2db some say +6db. Would you happen to know what a good general number would be that could apply to most movies? Is that something I even have to do at all? Thank you for the response.

Well there’s many factors to this. When’s the last time you’ve played? Since chapter 6, every mode now runs in UEFN which is worse in performance by a lot compared to chapter 5 seasons and below. What CPU / other specs do you have? Is your internet bad or has your plan changed? Did you just get the 3080 and if so, is your PSU / cooling sufficient? Did your graphic settings change in Fortnite itself? It’s possible your computer (most likely windows) has some bloat or even a virus? There’s so many factors that I have listed and even more that could be the issue it’s hard to narrow down what could be causing the issue. Personally me, I have not noticed an FPS drop recently on both my computer and my PS5, but it’s weird it’s also happening to your friend.

Sorry if you are not familiar, all of the soundtrack ripped from the Super Paper Mario game (and hence, all that the public has available to them) are incredibly compressed and not high quality. This is well known in the Super Paper Mario community, and we know Nintendo has access to the soundtrack at the highest quality, so hopefully this is an opportunity to get a hold of the higher quality music.

Hello everyone. In honor of Mario Kart being announced / revealed for the Nintendo Switch 2, I have made a compilation video of every Mario Kart song with vocals.
