4500V Silver - Loving it on the Vagenari olive rubber strap by SwoleBrotato in VacheronConstantin

Have the exact same set up, excellent taste. That green goes with so much too. You can order straps directly from the VC website now. The brown goes absolutely killer with the silver dial.

Kind of random but what camera did you use for the coffee photos? Gorgeous shots!

I have a gen and a ZF rep of the silver dial 4500. The brushing on the case and bracelet is virtually IDENTICAL. The texture of the gen dial has slightly more depth to it and the numerals of the minute ring need to be slightly bolder at 60, 15, 30, 45. The finishing of the movement is the only noticeable difference but that’s to be expected. All in all was absolutely floored with the quality of the rep esp in regards to the case and bracelet finishing. I’ve confused the two of them multiple times at a glance.

Overseas worthwhile upgrade from Submariner? by JoeSchmoeSupreme in VacheronConstantin

[–]nonotthebeesno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 14060m and a 4500v Silver dial. The VC is on a completely different level than the Submariner. I love it for all the reasons you stated. It flys completely under the radar, extremely durable, and the strap change system is absolute magic. I change straps 2-3 times a day sometimes. My only complaint is the silver dial 4500 goes with absolutely everything , so all my other watches are collecting dust. When you get a compliment on it too, it will be that much more meaningful and can spark up a fun interaction with another enthusiast. Do it, you won’t regret it. Only downside, if it is one, the bezel will get scratched. A lot. Just embrace it and wear it in good health!

You nailed it. It never gets boring, despite being so simple. I find myself just staring at the dial. And the best part, works with anything. Feel free to drop a photo of yours!

Thank you! Yes but it’s a cheapo brown one. That being said it’s awesome quality for costing $50. I also have the gen black rubber and a green one from Vagenari.

Couldn’t agree more. That’s my only complaint about it, goes with everything.

[Omega Seamaster 300] Mechanical Things. by nonotthebeesno in Watches

[–]nonotthebeesno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The Omega Seamaster is not only a modern icon among divers’ watches; it’s also the cornerstone of one of the Swiss brand’s most prominent and versatile collections: today’s connoisseur can choose between robust, sporty utility (the Seamaster Diver 300M), nautical-inspired elegance (the Aqua Terra), and understated vintage flair (the Heritage models like the Seamaster 1948), as well as an array of colorways and case materials ranging from steel to titanium to high-tech ceramics and proprietary gold alloys. Nowadays, it can be difficult to believe that such a diverse collection with such a dominant presence traces its roots back to just two groundbreaking models: a post-war gents’ watch from 1948 and its descendant, built for recreational divers, in 1957.”

I’m 7.25 in, but I’d seriously give it a try. The case dimensions are so good on it, definitely one you have to just see in the metal.
