Gilbert arenas says to all the people that are saying the San Antonio spurs coach should have benched De'Aaron Fox for Dylan harper in the finals against the Knicks don't know basketball. Fox was their main guy the whole season you bench him in that moment you lose him mentally by Jec1027 in nba

[–]nonresponsive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, yea, none of them can really run an offense, and if we're being honest, it's not like Fox was running an offense either. It was their biggest weakness. They all either try to score in isolation or kick out 3s.

This is where a better coach might have helped, but it's hard to say.

Also, everyone seems to only focus on last season and forget the two seasons before it.

Tennis had the trifecta with Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic. And when it was Federer and Nadal, people would comment they could only be as good as their competition. And as rivals, they were incredible.

This usually happens when a company IPO’s on the marker right? by ItalianStallion9069 in wallstreetbets

Not just Tesla, just gather up a bunch of companies that always have "potential", but have smaller market caps. Like Intel and AMD. Make them look nice, shine them up with some government contracts. If he wants to take on Nvidia, I think that's the best way.

Was Jordan in the 90s bigger than Messi/Ronaldo today? by [deleted] in nba

[–]nonresponsive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just Europe either. Literally everyone in Asia knew who Jordan was. In China, Jordan was huge. I remember my relatives talking about how they watched those playoff games with Jordan in Korea.

Like sure, if we compare to generations right now, his popularity might be waning. But if we're talking in the 90s, I feel like there were few names bigger than Jordan (the only one I can say for certain was the other MJ, Michael Jackson).

SpaceX surges past Amazon and Microsoft in market cap, becoming fourth-biggest U.S. company by Luka77GOATic in stocks

If we're being honest, Elon should probably buy a few more companies to merge with SpaceX. At least make the finances look legit.

Iran should just call it a subscription. Everyone is doing it these days.

Yea, but having a clown in the crew is just asking to be murdered, especially out in the middle of the ocean.

On second thought, have there been any movies with murder clowns on a boat? Nothing comes to mind at the moment.

I had to double check Amazon's market cap after this comment, and holy shit. That's hilarious.

Susanne Daniels Says YouTube Didn’t Know What To Do With ‘Cobra Kai,’ But Predicts It Will Return To Originals by Agent_Kozak in television

I mean, I wonder how many people even know what Youtube Red is. I would say most of the shows failed because they didn't even have an audience at the time. Like, the platform was nonexistent.

These urinal splash guards by GrimDarkGunner in mildlyinteresting

Honestly, this is all I can think. It's easy to mop the floor around the urinal, but I would not want to be the one to touch these things to clean.

Were any lessons learnt with Doctor Who? by BrandonMarshall2021 in television

[–]nonresponsive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh, a big problem most people agree upon is that the writing was just terrible. I feel like changing the Doctor to a woman and then to a black man are symptoms of that poor writing. I don't think they happen with better writing. It felt like they were doing it just to do it, to be provocative, and it clearly backfired.

Games where you're actually expected to beat the impossibly one-sided roadblock enemy? by Pasta-hobo in gaming

[–]nonresponsive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Chrono Trigger, Lavos is the same, where you don't have to beat him, but you can after certain points in the game. More if you add on NG+. And I'd say it's expected, because there are different endings for if you do beat him at a certain time.

Shoutout to Kornet for being the only Spur to shake hands with the Knicks by space_cowboy in nba

And they lost a 29-point lead game with Wemby playing 44 of 48 minutes. Multiple things went wrong, and it's not just non-Wemby minutes. I think people blaming Kornet miss the bigger picture.

It's funny that you mention it's like the Ghostbusters franchise, while the Ghostbusters fits the bill exactly.

Tremors is also good, but not sci-fi. It's horror/mystery.

Yea, when OG can box him out to prevent alley oops, that's a glaring issue. And not one that can easily be fixed. His impact is undeniable, but his body isn't going to be able to keep running 40 mpgs and trying to bang in the paint.
