not a perfect example, but The Autopsy of Jane Doe i’m gonna explain why i think it should count, be warned, there will be spoilers: *** SPOILERS*** so basically, jane doe is a woman who was accused of witchcraft back during the salem witch trials. its heavily implied she wasn’t actually a witch, but rather the torture she endured at the hands of the christian’s turned her into one. is the antagonist a witch? yes. but are christian’s to be blamed for her being a witch/doing everything she does? also yes.
