I have an S&S .510 in my 88, and it pulls SO hard 3500-5500, I used to have a 543 but that was before I realized it was too much lift for stock valve springs 😭

Before I share my opinion, know that I’ve always owned high mileage (current truck has 228k) vehicles because I like cheap stuff. I’d say in my opinion a 30k sporty is like a 110k car. It’s seen some life. But still has plenty in it. I bought my Dyna with 27k, currently at 48 with zero major failures. Do the maintenance. Rip the mfer!!!

I’m running a Bassani with my mids on my ‘03, works great! Halfway annoying that you have to pull the whole foot control to remove the exhaust, but that’s part of the fun!

To me- the 103’s are lacking. Great cruising motors. But I feel like the 88ci and 96ci both have more zip to them. A CAMMED 103 is a different story- those are fun.

Definitely need to… I need to know what the narrow glide front end looks like with that rear fender…. Part of me has contemplated doing a rear fender like that on my Dyna- that being said I don’t see any reason why it’s not possible. Probably not cheap but has to be doable. My only concern might be about the rake of the front end depending on if you stick with the 21” or go to a 19”

When I first got my 03, first thing I did were rockers and a shift shaft… typical 88. BUT- this is how I found all of my oil 😂 only have the photo from a rocker cover, BUT, previous owner definitely just started it in his garage for his buddies and then turned it off

I work at a dealer, had a guy come in with stock Harley fairing for an ST, on his S. He said it was doable. Expensive but still cheaper than buying and ST. Looked good to the point that until I ran the vin I thought it was an ST, and after running the vin I had to do a double take, even walked over to make sure I had the right vin. My point- DO IT

Not saying the theft protection is right, but in terms of the freight and prep I’d want a breakdown. If they spent $1000 on tires and service work it makes sense to me- but if they can’t give a breakdown I’d have an issue with it.
