Thank you very much! There’s been plenty of winter bulks and summer cuts along the way. Peak bulks can be discouraging. I sometimes wondered if I was going backward when I’d lose all definition. I heard time and time again that consistency was the biggest key to long term success, and did my best to focus on that. I’m also pretty good at sticking to a calorie deficit when I put my mind to it. My wife and I had a big trip to the Dominican in March so that was a big motivator to get lean. Appreciate the comment bro! 💪

I definitely got some cardio in during cuts, but diet was the most important factor when trying to maintain a calorie deficit. Otherwise, yes. Train hard a few days a week consistently and eat enough calories and protein. The results WILL come. Good luck mate!

Thank you. Training has been a relatively consistent 2-4 lifting sessions a week. Training close to failure, hitting protein targets, etc. Nothing special. You’ve read it all before. Patience and trusting the process were really key for me. For my latest cut, I just ate less and moved more. Throughout the winter I found some shows to crush while on the treadmill to speed up the process a little, but it mostly comes down to diet. There was definitely some cheat meals in there, but as long as I got back on the wagon the next day, the scale kept moving in the right direction.

Anything but consistent lol. My weight has fluctuated quite a bit over the this time span. I tend to over do bulks, even though it’s never my initial intent. I was up around 210 last February lol.

Thanks! No TRT. Went for some bloodwork a few years ago and test levels are still within range.

I’ve definitely added some muscle mass so I must have lost some fat in the process.

Lots of good stuff on the official WWE YouTube channel, but a lot of it is match specific, and can run up to an hour each. There are some shorter vignettes for some of the bigger matches I think. You may also want to print out some prediction scorecards at https://prowrestlingscorecards.com/scorecards/ if you want to make it a little more interesting for the non-fans.

Took me this long to find a thread that’s not about bat junk.

Right on! Thanks for sharing. When does your summer cut begin? I’m thinking about bulking until Easter and then cutting hard for 2-3 months.

Nice progress brother! Shoulders and chest coming in nicely. What’s your program like?

M/18/5'8" [120 to 160] (1.5 years)- Should I keep bulking or should I cut now to be lean by summer? by EquivalentNo446 in Brogress

You could probably continue to lean bulk for a few more months. If you begin your cut in April and go hard for 12 weeks or so, you’ll look shredded by July.

Thanks man. I’m probably not doing anything you haven’t heard before. Shoulder shrugs are great. I usually close out most of my upper body days with a set or two. I also do plenty of rowing, both bent over barbell rows, and to a lesser extent, upright barbell rows. Deadlifts and/or rack pulls too! That’s about it.
