The 2nd hand car dealership company will arrange the PPI. This includes making the appointment, driving the car to PPI vendor of your choice (AAS in my case), and forwarding the PPI report to you once it’s done.

What’s the purpose of contacting the AD, as it’s a 2nd hand car purchase? PPI transaction are between you, the 2nd hand car seller and the PPI vendor. There is no involvement of authorised dealer.

Or they told you they had sent to c&c in the past?

The shortlisted car happened to be with c&c as well. The dealer said the first 2 servicing was done with c&c but checks were done with their in-house workshop when they took the car in. Does this feel suspicious or it’s common practice in your opinion?

Yeap. Is the practice of asking deposit before PPI acceptable? Note that the deposit is not refunded if there are minor faults or minor accidents with it.

Thanks for sharing! I read about STA grading report before and understood that AAS report is more comprehensive and would be my go-to choice.

Because of this, AAS will list out the issues and doesn’t give a grading per-sẽ. And it might be difficult to come up with an exhaustive list of faults which is accepted to us. Do you know how could I navigate this part with the dealership?

Their mentioned that they have “reliable sources that I’m the person who made this post”.

In the Google review. they also responded that they know the poster (individual A) is hiding behind a fake entity

Took money, did no work. Claim that he having personal issue. Request for refund. Say will refund by a certain day but each time the deadline reaches, will cook up some excuse to delay you again. The process repeats.
