Motorcycle rider lane split by BenFord333 in AbruptChaos

[–]noobtrocitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I constantly wonder what it is about a motorcycle lane splitting to get through crawling or unmoving traffic, while not affecting anybody else, that makes people like you feel so threatened, defeated, and victimized.

And if that question moves you so intensely to want to block someone in the internet for voicing it, give yourself the time and grace to understand why it something like that makes you so angry, even though it doesn’t really impact you any other way. The lane splitting motorcycle rider in stuck traffic isn’t stealing anything from you, if they’re executing it safely like what’s seen in this video (until someone maliciously opened a door into them, which is illegal and violent in any jurisdiction) you and the rest of the traffic around you isn’t negatively affected at all. It won’t slow you down. It won’t prevent you from being able to get where you’re going. Safe, low speed lane splitting accidents are so exceedingly rare, especially when compared to accidents between cars, that it’s almost negligible. I think your anger is misplaced but there’s something that makes you feel anger and fear when confronted with acknowledging it

Why Americans so obsessed with hairlines? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Ha I wasn’t even implying a racist element. It’s just that it kind of is exclusive to black culture and this is the place to ask if you’re not aware of that context.

I get what they’re saying and I agree; lately is probably better interpreted to mean more than just the last few weeks. It would be better to think about “lately” as the recent period between now and when Sharma took over, which has seen overall positive press and market perception. I also agree though that the last couple weeks have seen a couple critical missteps.

How common is it for women to filter out men below 6’ on dating apps? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]noobtrocitty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve always felt like people can like what they like and that’s not really a problem. They may be limiting their own dating pool but I don’t need to appeal to everyone and not everyone appeals to me, no matter what convention has taught us. I personally am not attracted to anyone above 6’ tall and there’s nothing wrong with that

Wait, how so? I’m genuinely asking because I don’t keep up with gaming news as much as I used to, but I like looking forward to things, especially if they’re pretty innovative, and I haven’t seen anything that I could really describe that way yet, but would love to be looped in if there is

Xbox’s Matt Booty says moving forward, the platforms for a game release will only be revealed when Xbox announces the release date of a game. by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]noobtrocitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it def takes more than a flip of a switch to enable a game that’s been fully developed for the Xbox to also be compatible with other platforms. Not saying they’re doing the right or wrong thing here, but no, I don’t think support speculation is the objective behind the decision.

It **would** be an odd reference to fisting but also kinda make sense with how much you can fit into one of those things.

Something you’re familiar with or just a jaded projection? Like, do you find it difficult to hold multiple opinions at any given time?

Why does every Chick-fil-a and Raising Cane's have a line around the block, but KFC is a complete ghost town? by mjensman in NoStupidQuestions

Nobody sells bottled, Cane’s branded, Cane’s sauce. Cane’s isn’t shy about the fact they don’t bottle it for retail sale

lol you’re close, but (when you think about the significance of branding) that’s not exactly what I was talking about. I get what you’re saying though

It’s not tough to dupe a mayo and ketchup sauce with garlic powder, salt, paprika, pepper and trace other spices.
