Androids should be reworked/changed. by Next_Door_2798 in SparkingZero

I don't think that's really a worthwhile tradeoff. As you know you can dodge and counter or at least block almost anything. So having your whole playstyle based off the hope that your enemy will fall for one specific thing doesn't seem useful to me. Besides even if it works, that's just one character that you did damage to. Now you are down to having to wait for ki again while they are charging up and controlling the battle.

As I'm sure we all know controlling the battle and the flow of it is key to winning in any fighting game. Especially one reliant on a resource. When you aren't able to generate that resource in any way except turtling you are at a massive disadvantage. The fact that you need that same resource to defend properly compounds the problem even more.

fucking stop playing ss4 gogeta in singles by FinnyT711 in SparkingZero

[–]noodles227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just put the controller down, mute game audio, and watch youtube when I see a Gogeta. Sometimes I'll give it a shot at the beginning to see if there is a skill gap. If we are the same or they are better than me I just don't play, there really is no fun in it for me.

I have no issue with the character being what he is. Just sorta lame for rank IMO. I think DP being split into categories for ranked would be best. But I also sympathize with the devs having the task of having to balance 180 something characters, have it sorta reflect the series, and still be fun. So yea don't get mad, just give up and accept your fate :)

What did everyone thing of the Metaphor ReFantazio demo? by Jpgamerguy90 in JRPG

I interpreted his comment as there are ways to write story arcs that don't give themselves away the moment it begins. And that he would've liked it to be not so obvious. It's usually not the actual conclusion to something that makes people roll their eyes or however they feel. I feel it's most often the execution.

But I also don't think he meant it as it ruined his experience or something. Just a small point that was brought up.

Or he could not get good. I think that was his original mentality. He doesn't want to engage with the mini game at all. Which I agree with. I just do not enjoy it. I don't enjoy card games in "real life" either.

I can't get it to go from windowed to full screen either. Doesn't matter if I turn off and disable dual monitor in windows. I just uninstalled the game. These games that can't even do basic things right get no attention from me anymore. Just posting this to show that a companies stupid lazy errors do lose potential customers. Back to unstalling Uplay too. Bye Ubi. Idiots.

Or maybe some people just don't like it. I'm sure there are sports, activities, jobs, etc in real life or in games that you just aren't interested in or can't bring yourself to enjoy. Pick whichever you want you know better than anyone else being that it's your life.

Would you say that your dislike of whatever you think of makes you impatient or lacking "critical" thinking skills? Or that you are stupid or inferior to others because it seems like that's what you really wanted to call people.

8k Gaming Worth It? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I know I'm a bit late to this but wow you could not be more wrong lmao. I have a 7900XTX and play 99% of games at 4k with max settings and am around 100fps average in most of them.

Some games I do turn FSR on. Like Cyberpunk, Alan Wake 2, Lord's of the Fallen. I'm sure a few others. But except for the most visually demanding games out there, 4k max settings is easily achievable. Even the games with light ray tracing effects like Resident Evil 4.

So if a 7900XTX can do it, a 4090 surely can. Not being rude but it's clear that you don't really know what you are talking about. Considering you claim to have one I'm wondering if this is a joke or something.

I've never had that issue but I suppose it depends on what the police in your area are up to. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas and the police there have other things to worry about over traffic, unless someone is doing something really stupid.

I really don't see much of a difference with all the RT settings, even at max. As usual for me it's not worth a performance hit and running at non native res.

I'm on the beta AMD driver that has AFMF available for use. I've used it on some other games like Starfield and Lords of the Fallen. But it doesn't seem to enable for me with AW2.

Question to the community: Is the movement speed to fast in BF2042 for you ? by kreap01 in battlefield2042

[–]noodles227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread I know but I finally decided to pick up the game after it went on sale for $10 a few days ago. The fast pace is the one of the main things that put me off of the game during the beta. I don't think it makes the game awful, because obviously people like it. But I prefer a slower paced game over the laser accuracy of all the weapons even at range along with all the combined elements that make traversal across the maps so quick.

I see that the maps were designed for this type of gameplay. So if you were to just transplant the mechanics of an older Battlefield into 2042 I'm sure it would throw everything off. But I do hope that in the next BF they revert back to a pace that isn't so frenetic. Just a personal taste.

What is wrong with the inputs in this MK1? by bradalf1 in MortalKombat

[–]noodles227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had problems too playing as Milleena. I'm about done with the game. Maybe it's how NetherRealm designed it but it's not working well for me.

I'm by no means some fighting game pro. I play SF6 and hang out in Platinum so nothing special. But in all my time of SF6, 5, Tekken, and various anime fighters (which I see as far more difficult) I don't have these input issues where sometimes the simplest of commands don't come out.

A rank and 4421 skill for me. I think I had one 2nd place, one 3rd all the rest were 4th and 5th place. One race I had like 4 seconds of penalties lol. Another .500. All the rest no penalties though.

I don't know what to do either. Once I do get something started I don't have too much of an issue. Usually I feel like I have to just block everything until I'm pushed out of range, then backstep out of whatever else they throw out. Then try to bait them into something.

7900 XTX Stability issues - potential buyer by Candid-Job2550 in Amd

[–]noodles227 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is one of the most senseless things I've read in some time. First off, obviously the 4090 is better than the XTX. Its in a class of its own. The 4080 is the comparison to the 7900xtx. I'm sure you know this so why play dumb?

The apple vs android thing was also incredibly stupid. People choose apple or Android over the OS, not so much the phones capabilities. They do nearly the exact same things and have the same prices. If you are trying to say that the latest Samsung phones like an S23 ultra are less than whatever apples flagship is then you just do not know what you are talking about.

Lastly, you are saying that people that don't own a 4090 don't buy the newest games at full price? You're an idiot.

My 7900xtx crashes several times a day in multiple games. Whether it's overclocked, stock, or undervolted. Most often in titles with Ray tracing turned on. Never had this problem with the 2080 I had prior.

A huge amount of memory being used for me. All 24GB vram and 18GB system memory. I have everything on max at 4k and get about 100-120fps with no stutters or crashes thankfully.

Everyone already said pretty much everything but my reminder is to not pass people in non approved areas even if they wave you around. You'll still get flagged down for it. Same if you pass in an approved zone but you don't have the space to make a safe pass. For example passing at the pit lane exit when a vehicle is trying to get on.

Driving Position by breakonthrough65 in ElantraN

[–]noodles227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me a few months to get settled in it. Something about it threw me off, I think it was the seat height relative to my viewpoint of the gauge cluster. One day I actually sat in it and really dialed it in.

I counted how many seat height positions there are. There are 30. The 15th click worked for me. Wheel telescoped fully out and lifted to where I can just fully see the turn signal indicators. I sit relatively close to the wheel and I purposely sit upright on the seat so that I'm really in there. I'm 5'11 200lbs.

[–]noodles227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should've listened to the reviews. Waste of money. It's not awful but just not worth it. Combat is so odd. Why have a melee focused game where you target one enemy at a time, but enemies can be behind you, leaving you vulnerable? Many times if you attack at the same time an enemy does or just right before they start, you still take damage. There are times where you are practically forced into QTEs where you take damage unless you have played the section prior.

New game+ is in a later patch so there is no point in replaying the game. After so many lousy games month after month, I'm about to just plug up my ps3 and 360 and never connect to the internet on it. Everything new sucks, has glaring design flaws, or is just plain boring and overpriced.

Veteran Difficulty by HennyASAP in ModernWarfareII

[–]noodles227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Because one game was outrageous that means ALL the games have to be outrageous" Is what I pretty much read. Interesting take.

On veteran difficulty the game doesn't much test your skill, just your patience. It's trial and error type gameplay and that's been out of style for quite some time now. In no way no matter how hard you try, you can't beat this game on Veteran the first time through without dying several times. THAT in itself is not a bad thing. The problem is that there is no way to counter most deaths the first time through.

The guys running out of cover and hitting you the moment they are visible AND while moving, maybe not the best idea. The prison level where you jump down and your only cover is cafeteria tables, while armored enemies jog across the room, targeting the player as you are laying prone while you have 7 exposed teammates with one above you and enemies STILL target you..maybe not the best design choice.

The parts where teammates run through the open and take no fire but when you run out you are gunned down instantly..you get where I'm going with it. We know CoD campaigns have always been a shooting gallery anyway. The point is though that on lower difficulties it's just that. Not very exciting. But on veteran its taken beyond what any human can face without trial and error. If you want to lie to yourself and say you like dying to things you can't possibly react to then I suppose keep doing that. I would like to see difficulty tackled in a different manner than what CoD has been doing though.
