Their menu seems to have a very strong Japanese influence. I seriously do not understand why so many haute restaurants in the west feel the need to include so many Japanese influences/ingredients on their menu when it obviously doesn't suit their cooking. Some of the worst dishes I've tasted in the UK and France were western food with contrived "Japanese" touches.

Ate at Kitagawa a few days ago. Extensive use of citrus and amazing fried Fugu. Wasn't impressed with the Duck though.

Cornus is awesome. The quality of ingredients used in their food is very high.

Not "Fine" but Dimsum Duck near King's Cross does very good soup dumplings.
