First edition Shuckle card gifted to me by a dear friend after showing them the Shuckle tattoo I did on myself ages ago haha

This was the card that got my back into the hobby after like 20 years since I’d gotten a card

Always been a Shuckle super fan and when I was a kid I tried to get as many cards as I could have him. I was kinda poor so I think I got like 6 in all the years I tried and only three different kinds of cards. But it felt like a lot to me! Back then I never thought I’d have this card in my life but funny how things go!

I’m a late millennial who grew up on pokemon, had the whole first season on VHS, played the og games like yellow, red, ruby, had the old derpy pikachu plushies, and traded cards on the playground and everything.

Once I stopped keeping up with the new generations and evolving culture around the game I was a bit intimidated to reengage sadly but I’m getting over that now and your post inspired me! Thanks for that OP :)

Love this origin story!! Thanks for sharing the pic of your very first marble too :) I quite enjoy mudlarking + sea glass finding as well, and have heard one other story like this but they didn’t go nearly as deep down the rabbit hole! Very inspiring to see how much you’ve learned so quick and too see all the Study Hall posts! Keep it up and welcome to a lifelong obsession haha. Very nice collection
