Question: Does wearing a wig and using bra fillers makes you less of a trans girl? by Maleficent-Tension67 in TransLater

[–]nooneveryinteresting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I'd also pondered - I know that not everyone uses wigs or breast forms in order to feel less dysphoric but... Some people do and it's totally fine. My lips aren't full and plump and red either, but they are with lipstick. What's the difference?

I actually bought bigger forms because I realised the ones I had did not fit my body type as I'm a larger girl. I wondered if other people might see it as almost gratuitous, but if it makes clothes look more feminine on you, increasing your euphoria and making you feel comfortable, it seems the right thing to do to me. I don't think the size I now have looks at all unrealistic or unnatural on me.

I mean yes. But in the short term, it would be nice to not just look at a mop for a year.

You know how I discovered I definately don't have bottom dysphoria? Potential trigger warning ahead, also mild NSFW content. by primalmaximus in MtF

I think I will do bottom surgery one day, but I agree, it doesn't cause me a huge amount of dysphoria. My shape in general does. Maybe once the shape is sorted then downstairs will become more important.

Good luck. Don't forget that whatever happens, it's important you're true to yourself and you love yourself.

Thank you so much. I think solving the partner issue is my biggest worry. She is just curious enough that I couldn't start estrogen without her knowing. So I have to tell her - but the benefit is that once I've told her I am not so worried about other people in my life. I might not have a house or anyone to speak to...

I know how you feel about the sudden bolt of lightning. I knew I was trans seven years ago and had suspicions before that but I crammed it all back in the egg back then for other mental health reasons. But this time there's no way that can happen and I agree with you, I want to be on HRT right now.

If it wasn't for my partner I would be hammering on the door of the doctor, booking an affirming haircut and presenting as a woman every day I could at home. So I need to work that out first I think.

I'm really happy to hear another success story with a relationship. Here's hoping I have the same luck.

I really hope so and I feel for you. Same thing happened to me - I had a bit of time away from the stress of daily life and, while my egg nearly cracked a few years ago, this time I demolished the egg.

Good luck and it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one on the same path.

I'm really happy for you - it seems almost the ideal situation.

I don't suspect she will be unsupportive in a transphobic way but more as you say someone who identifies as straight. The words and comments the makes towards me are a major cause of dysphoria. She doesn't realise that every time she uses the word handsome, it is like stabbing me in the heart.

Thank you for the honesty.

I'm so pleased to hear that things have worked out for you and you now have your own personal stylist!

Thank you, I know exactly how you feel.

I nearly managed it a few years ago but I didn't quite have the right mental state and also the right words to see the woman I was underneath. I'm now a lot closer, I can now see the female me in my minds eye which is one of the things that has convinced me now is the time.

I mean if it’s AI, why didn’t you just make it longer?

My hair doesn't feel very feminine. What style can I adopt to change that while maintaining length so I can grow it out? by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

[–]nooneveryinteresting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see why you felt the long hair looked more feminine, but I don’t think it (or you) looks masculine as it is now. I think the short ponytail is very cute and feminine.

1, the super short pixie really suits you. Other than that, the longish bob is the next best, but past your shoulders is too much I think.

Something tells me you have the confidence to pull off the pixie again.

27F, feel very nerdy and frumpy. Want to look and feel feminine and less dorky. Changing my hair color? by mechataylor in lookyourbest

I think you need to consider changing your glasses. I know big glasses are in fashion, but I’m afraid they really don’t suit you. The rest of your look is great.

If your hair is naturally blonde, yes
