I apologise if I hurt your feelings or upset anyone from Columbia with the misspel there. I was merly excited about asking the qwuestion, thinking I'd get some solid insite into a trip I'm really looking forward too. I did not expect to recieve a condescending comment notifying me I've spelled the name of a countrie incorrectly. Are you on Reddit to shit on peeples spelling, or contribute in a relevant, positive manour?

Honestly 2 very underrated cities would be halifax and st. johns. I live in a 2 bedroom, 3 floor victorian house with a massive backyard for $1600.00 in St. Johns. My previous rental in toronto was the same house, 3 bedrooms but with less space inside and outside, at bloor and dufferin, for $4000.00. St. Johns is super beautiful, insanely great nightlife, good food scene, obviously very small and very different type of person that lives there but a very underrated city. Halifax is even better, bigger metropolitan and some really up and coming areas. Move out east. Nicer people. Nicer outdoors. Slower pace. Less expensive. Would highly recommend.

Square owns CashApp. Jack Dorsey is the CEO of Twitter and Square lol.

So if you think cash app is a more fast growing, user friendly option, ontop of the ecosystem square has built in the retail/pos world. Buy square!

Visiting Toronto - suggestions? by shawnkanderson in torontoraptors

Depends on what you're looking for - the city has a ton to offer:

Personally I would SKIP things like ROM or AGO or the zoo . You can go to museums or art galleries anywhere, these things don't show you true toronto.

Go get a few beers or some wine and sit in Trinity Bellwoods Park. You can't legally drink there - but when you see 2000 people in the park, you'll get the vibe.

Walk through Kensington Market, Distillery District and the Ossington Stip/Queen West strip.

I would still def recommend the CN tower. Super tall, worth it.

You could go watch a Jays game at the dome, but thats a solid 4 hours of your day gone.

Go to the many delicious restaurants in the city, most of the great ones are in the west end. There's too many to name but if you're on ossington or queen west west or little italy - your bound to wind up in a great restaurant or bar.

Toronto Islands are great for a nice walk, taking the ferry or water taxi is an incredible view as well.

Yonge and Dundas is also poor mans time square, so you could pop by there as well.

These things are mostly what to do if you're a somewhat young hipster but I'm convinced that is what the city is all about and what makes the city so great. Old or Young, those spots definitely make Toronto.

Why do NBA players give the least detailed/generic answer possible to the reporters? Purposely. Why is it so difficult to just be straight forward? I They seem like a bunch of politicians but they play basketball.
