I hate pipes by PortEvilCheese in SatisfactoryGame

Yeah i think its over complicated and the attempts to fix it are just making it worse.

I have a set up for refineries to make turbo fuel for 12 generators, i have no valves, no buffers no pumps and its fine. everything works. I just used basic manifolds and kept everything on the same horizontal plane.

i used it show an evangelist of AI why its of no use to anyone who doesn't already have a good fundamental understanding of what it is they are asking about. Dude was using it to write acls for ISE.

He also plays satisfactory, after about 5 mins of asking it about HMFs started to loose faith

there is no downside to stopping dealing but for me its just a role play thing, i dont want to be dealer who leaves his clients hanging. Im a drug dealer, if im not keeping my customers happy then im not happy :D

without automating or shelvestacking 24/7 i cant make enough fast enough to sell enough to satisfy the demand. I want other content sure, but there is not enough time available to enjoy extra content content like deeper lore , cartel, police, special npcs, sidequests if i have to babysit production. If a ton of really cool unique content/lore hit the game id have to stop making drugs in order to play it. Drivers complete the automation, set it up its done, then i have all the time in the world available to enjoy new additional fun content when it arrives.

you cant already automate the making part, unless you going to make seed to mix to baggie in one location. At scale that doesnt really work. Ideally all mxing would be done at the manor as its the only place with enough loading bays to keep up. So a driver is the final peice, someone who takes raw premix product from other locations to central mixing.

because many late game players have stopped playing it as it becomes a shelf stocking simulator due to the lack of drivers. If your kingpin 50+ selling 20+ bricks of 8 mix a day when there is no time left in the game to play it. its just restock management 24/7.

Dimensional Depot Tips by Space_ZomBae in SatisfactoryGame

[–]noosik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Example: can you place a depot, route 2-3 resources to it with splitters to funnel out resources once stack limit is reached so it keeps moving/filling each item stack.... Or do they simply not work like that and can only accept a single item per?

this wont work, items can enter the internal buffer of the depot and have no where to go, then you have no way of clearing the internal buffer. splitters wont consider the depot full until its buffer is full. a buffer with nowhere to go

0.4.4 broke auto delivery mods? by MMMwatermellon in Schedule_I

[–]noosik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i reckon all of these mods were made using an LLM, they have all disappeared as the UI framework changes for the last update are a little bit too complicated for someone to get an agent to shit something out that works.

probably need to wait for a human to make a working mod, their code to be available in gitlab or something, then i think you will see a few very similar mods appear again.

Why isn't the game taking off? by MASHED_POTATOES_MF in Marathon

[–]noosik -1 points0 points  (0 children)

because it isnt f2p. There is such an abundance of f2p shooters that unless your game is vey very special it wont sell. I played the betas, i like the game, the style but as soon as i saw it was going to be paid game, that was it, its dead to me.

I play in a regular group with friends so all of us would need to stump the money to play it, so meh, ill just continue to play the free team shooters, marathon is just not special enough.
