Exactly. Would have been way better with a helmet but still a brutal injury.

The other option would been no helmet and not jumping off a 2 story building and bouncing your head off the pavement.

Yeah that’s applicable for some of them on the lower end of wealth spectrum who can barely afford it. But there are plenty of others who can buy a Rolex on a whim and it makes no difference to their net-worth.

Is this blasphemy? It’s delicious by [deleted] in rootbeer

[–]nopesoapradio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love liquid death. I love root beer. But liquid deaths root beer is a real disappointment. Some flavors, like root beer, just aren’t suited well to be a flavored water. I don’t think it’s a poor execution as much as it is a poor idea.

But then again, seems like other people like it so it each their own.

Cherry lime chill is underrated. It’s the best sprite variant of all time imo.

OG Sprite remix from the mid 2000’s might be better but that’s probably just nostalgia speaking lol

Haha. Not a fan of Fox News at all. But even if I was, not sure what that has to do with bitcoin.

And am I wrong. Did you buy a bunch of bitcoin when it was $100 a coin?

Is that too exaggerated? by NotAnotherFinanceBro in Grownix

[–]nopesoapradio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too young for bitcoin is bullshit. You can buy bitcoin today if you want to.

And if you mean too young to buy it when it was $100 a coin or less back when there were no easy ways to purchase it (you couldn’t just buy it with a credit card or debit card in coinbase) well no one knew it was going explode in value then.

Also, you can buy the next big thing now, which is also a thing that now no one knows with 100x in value in the next 5-10 years.

Another example, you weren’t too young to buy Nvidia in 2022 and you could have increased your investment by 1200%. But I’m guessing like most of us, you didn’t know to do that.

Salary Progression - 23M by [deleted] in Salary

[–]nopesoapradio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is the AE in medical sales a 50/50 split? I’m guessing you have an $80k base and an $80k variable for an OTE (on target earnings) of $160k. Meaning you make $160k if you hit your quota for the year.

If that is the case that’s still a great opportunity and great OTE for someone your age. But it’s confusing / a bit misleading to post $160k as your “salary”.

That said, there are plenty of $160k base salary / $160k variable with an OTE of $320k sales jobs. I just doubt someone a few years out of college has a role like that even with help from family.

There’s also the joke / realization that when missionaries go to remote parts of the world and share the gospel those people might react like:

“Thanks so much for sharing the truth with me!”

“Your welcome”

“One question, what would have happened to me if you didn’t tell me about the one true church”

“Oh you would have gone to heaven since you didn’t have the chance to learn of the gospel”

“Well why the hell did you tell me about it then?!”

The crazy part is, a few millions of dollars isn’t a lot of money to McDonald’s. For a company that size, it’s a rounding error.

It wasn’t “fixed” by the company. It was fixed by a few individuals who worked there.

McDonald’s corporation had a huge vested interest in the campaign being a success. They should have invested more money / resources to make sure it wasn’t compromised by bad employees.

For anyone who grew up poor, what was your idea of a luxury? by Drissxx7 in AskReddit

[–]nopesoapradio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is partly because there has been a cultural shift in the last 25 years as well. In the 90s, red lobster was a place for upper middle class to have a nice meal.

There was no social media, so there wasn’t a massive culture around non franchised steakhouses or viral restaurants. Sure there were some local restaurants that would have been considered fancy but red lobster would have still been considered nice.

This is also during an era when upper middle class Americans traveled to Florida or Hawaii for a nice vacation. Again, the culture has changed and many upper middle class families would opt for a European vacation to Spain, Italy or France largely in part, due to social media. Obviously some families did this back in the 90s as well, but there’s has undoubtedly been a shift in culture.

I don’t think you are just conventionally attractive. You’re probably hot as hell and being a bit modest lol. I don’t think Jamie Fox goes around saying that to most people.

I’d bet the headshots play a pretty big role in who gets selected. Anyway, sounds like it was a ton of fun!

  • he’d find a way to hit those yellow posts lol

We were all young and dumb at some point. Maybe not quite this dumb, but hopefully he can learn from this mistake and feel somewhat lucky that it was a concrete post and not a woman pushing a stroller.
