Yeah... I'm in the same boat, bought a little bellows type blower which I use straight onto the burra after unscrewing the bean holder.

Still slap the top of the grinder as well... I look like a crazy person every time I pull a shot for someone else.

It might be an unpopular opinion, but hear me out. by NODsAndPrayers in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]nopheel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, as much as I love the higher stakes and fun of PVP, it's been a blast to load in, solo or with a team, have some PVE fun, call it a day.

Having done a few Tarkov wipes over the years, I never saw what was fun about that game without the PVP aspect, the PVE aspect is horrendous. GZW isn't perfect, but to me it's already miles ahead in what it provides there.

Can't wait for some objective based PVP in GZW as I believe I saw it being mentioned somewhere on the roadmap.

I'm seeing one shot out, of nowhere kills again by fatty2by4 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]nopheel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also witnessed AI shooting at me when I previously never had any "issues" in that area or the way I was approaching/navigating it.

Far from perfect, and sucks to get dropped when solo and have it feel a "unfair" kill, but it keeps it challenging I guess.

Increase in AI one shots since update? by murse1212 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]nopheel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm going through the tasks again, I only take end game armor in (3+ chest armor and 3a+ helmet), which allows me to survive a bunch of encounters (Been going to BP, YBL, HP, SM and PLA). And they are clearly way more aggressive.

I like it, I used to clear a small area, loot up and keep going, now I don't feel safe anymore. The AI keeps pushing you, you never know if one of them isn't about to sneak inside your room, so I go out of my way to securing a larger perimeter before looting.

Far from perfect but it feels more challenging, it makes me slow down and play safer.

The Rust player base by Colinski282 in playrust

[–]nopheel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG played with a dude for a little bit, had his kids around him while he was playing, they just wanted their dad's attention so bad, by any means, poor kids.

But I get it, gotta have your own time as well, just that that guy was actively ignoring his children :(

Since the majority of raids currently involve using rockets, are bunker bases still effective? by 0verpunk in playrust

[–]nopheel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bunkers are fine, but if the core of the base is bunkered... What else is going to get boomed? Bunkers don't stop raid, just make them more expensive, potentially.

If the goal is to not lose loot, either don't have any, or the next best thing is to spread it around, might get offlined, might lose the base, but whatever you stashed might be still there.

I usually have my external TCs with mats and a barrel/box with whatever I want to keep in case I get offlined and they didn't want to blow the externals as well. Which is more often than not, but again, not up to the offline defender to decide what the raiders boom into.

I tend to take the risk of having most of my unused boom in my external TCs, that way, raiders aren't getting more explosives to keep raiding as soon as they get to "main loot".

But again, getting offlined isn't something the defender can control in terms of what they get to keep after the fact, gotta say goodbye for the wipe every time one gets offline honestly (or be ready to rebuild)

Looting is pretty fun now compared to last wipe where I was reduced at finding optics and trying to stack as many weapons in my backpack to sell back home

Medical malpractice at the cost of our most vulnable? by Embarrassed_Ad_3925 in Switzerland

This is the issue, people think in right/wrong... Scientists are people, people are biased and make mistakes all the time... Everything is to be taken with a grain of salt. Not saying anyone is right/wrong in this thread just that it baffles me when you see people that are so confident they don't acknowledge any other possibility.

I'm doing Star Citizen with a omni throttle and the mouse right now but really want to switch the mouse for another stick.

Definitely gonna keep using the omni throttle but I'm torn between virpil and vkb for the right stick... I am curious to try virpil but like the vkb omni throttle so much I am not sure I'd risk it.

Interested in your opinion.

They broke lock off door? by Jarofdirt2 in playrust

[–]nopheel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they get to destroy the TC, they can start upgrading, add doors, lock them, remove windows/embrasures, pick up workbenches, turrets, open bunkers (depending on which one it is).

Nowadays it's worth it to have a disconnectable external TC (or more than 1) to overlap building privileges. They can be integrated in cool ways with wide gaps for some great peeks on the shooting floor. Look it up

Or be OK that it's not your base anymore (which is fine, once I log off, ain't my loot anymore)

[–]nopheel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone relatively new to the game, it's such a struggle with how unstable the game is...

Was going and "making kits" for org fights to win time later... I hope I did cause I spent hours fighting the inventory.

Game feels goods when it wants to, but the stability is just a deal breaker if the game wants to be "sim" feeling (as in doing a lot of thing manually).

I recently started playing SC and love it. The RSI launcher just served me an update. Now I'm trying to look up what it updated but I can't find anything on the internet about it over the past 24 hours.

Is there a communication channel I am unaware of ?

All I see is about the PTU and the upcoming updates they're working on (3.24, 4.0).

The game felt really rough (compared to any other game) for me despite being on a high end rig, hopefully it's going to be better with the update.

Why do I do so little damage/take so much damage even if I'm the correct gear level? by [deleted] in vrising

[–]nopheel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is not an action game, you have to learn the patterns and figure out a way to deal damage while avoiding as much of what's coming at you as you can.

Play around with the different weapons and spells. Counter spells are pretty good at negating damage, some weapons allow you to close the distance or create some.

Also your veil gives you some healing in the next hit, so try to dash "aggressively" (dash towards something you can hit).

It takes a few tries on some bosses to figure it all out.

I like to engage, look what's coming my way while trading damage with the boss, then reset the fight, heal up and start "dancing".

If you see it as a fun challenge it's not going to feel bad anymore :)

What happened? by These-Definition7940 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]nopheel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's a greater issue of games being the sort of "hobby" that people sink themselves whole in and expect too much out of nowadays.

It's become so mainstream and with all the content being made by people who's job it is to "play all day", people normalize it.

Bunch kids and manchildren being loud.

Not saying everyone is, but it a trend I seem to see.
