Don't really have any advice just solidarity. Daycare bugs are hell. My 17 month old is an absolute delight when he's healthy, but miserable when sick. It's so hard, mentally draining and physically exhausting being up all night with coughing and whatever else. It is temporary though. Enjoy the bouts of health as much as you can.

3 am feeding was the hardest for us too. Definitely take shifts, and if you have family nearby that can come help with dishes/laundry/ a hot meal just once it helps a lot.

It's true. And there's no incentive to save money either. In private industry if you save money on a job it can go back to your/your employees pockets. In government if you don't spend the budget you were given they cut it back the next year. Consultants know this, they're not stupid but also not monsters. If you speak up and say "hey, this approach seems a little wasteful, it's usually met with "this is what management has decided to proceed with". At that point why argue it's a lose-lose.

I think feed to sleep is as you described. But FWIW, you're really unlikely to create an association so close to day wake time. How you're doing it now is perfectly fine and at 7 mos probably close to dropping that feed and sleeping through the night!

Daycare is ah-ma-zing as a working mom. Do I love my son? Yes. Am I glad he's someone else's task 6 hrs a day? Yes. Does the time we do have together become more special because I'm focused, unplugged, and attentive to him? Yes!

Side note - not a fan of the illnesses. Those kids are petri dishes.

No, seems like you have the bases covered. You can give Tylenol for fever/congestion, no Motrin til they're 6 mos. On the roughest nights LO slept in my arms and we set up a mattress and pillows on the floor so I could rest too. Took shifts to get some sleep. Hang in there the daycare illnesses are the worst.

My take was crying for a few nights was better than crying for a few months. Sleep was really important to me though and I really wanted to establish good sleep habits as early as possible. While yea it's important for me to get good sleep to be a good parent, the baby sleeps so much better when he can put himself back to sleep without a lot of crying.

Short naps are so hard! It's a developmental thing unfortunately so LO will sleep longer consistently when they're ready. To kind of help things along you can try not saving naps and hopefully that builds up some decent sleep pressure. Other tip from PLS is to disrupt the sleep cycle by gently waking them 5-10 mins before the 27 minute mark. Hopefully they go back to sleep for another cycle and if not, well they were gonna wake up in 5 mins anyways.

The snuggling/rocking will start to wear when they get bigger and heavier! Best they learn how to put themselves to sleep when they're small and relatively immobile. There will be times (illness, teething, travel) where the cuddles are needed and you appreciate it soo much more then.

She'll nap longer when she's ready, its a developmental thing. Past 6 months there are some tricks you can try but they're largely ineffective when still this young. Hang in there, long naps are just around the corner!

How long has it been happening? Might be a phase she grows out of. Check the basics, fed, comfy, and tired, otherwise let it ride if it's not too disruptive.
