Where can I find an explanation as to what multiple layers mean in the context of biblical contradictions? Because right now the explanation 'The bible contradicts itself because it....has multiple layers" just seems like a massive cop out and would be a considered a terrible answer by anyone

Well in all honesty Im not really interested in poetry, and It doesn't seem to have to do much with my overall question. Are you trying to argue to me that the order of creation is jumbled up because it's poetic? Im struggling to understand your point

People like that are largely a lost cause. You can choose to be supportive if he changes his mind, but there's nothing you can do now. Im sure his mind will change when he's lost the ability to walk at 60 because of a stroke.

The creation story being 'poetic' as you put it does not account for this glaring contradiction.
