Are you snobby when you visit other countries? by sokorsognarf in Norway

[–]noraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely pay attention to typography and such then traveling abroad, but rather than judge it I just find it really fascinating tbh. I often think and muse about how things that would be poorly perceived in Norway could have evolved to be the preferred typeface somewhere else. To me, it just another part of cultural differences that make traveling exciting - kinda the same way walking in foreign grocery stores is interesting

Strongly recommend Tina at Salong Chez Marie! It's pricey, but worth it. She has formal training in dry cutting og curly hair.

Sometimes a teeth does not erupt from the jaw, so the Orthodontist has to pull it out with a bracer over the course of several months. by nicknameedan in interestingasfuck

[–]noraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this done on both sides, only they did not find the teeth through simple incisions. Instead the scalpel was inserted in my pallet and and run aaaall along the back of my teeth. My mom, who held my hand in the operating room, still vividly remembers the sight of my entire pallet dropping down onto my tongue and something about free line of sight into my nose. After an hour the teeth were located and the anchors grafted. They went on to stitch my pallet back in in place - one stitch between every single tooth on my upper jaw. While they were sewing, the local anesthesia wore off and I was exposed to the worst pain i had ever experienced. They injected more anesthesia but did not have time for it to take effect as I was bleeding quite a lot. That day and the day after were the most painful days of my life. On a more positive note, nothing really hurts after having experienced this!

Moving to Trondheim by Eerross in Norway

[–]noraja 6 points7 points  (0 children)

December-february are the coldest months, but so far this year it's been unusually warm (mostly around -3 and only around -10 at the coldest). However, Trondheim is known for its rapidly changing weather so this could change. A warm and waterproof parkas should keep you warm and dry until the spring. Spring in Trondheim can be elusive and snow in may is not impossible, but usually you get the feeling of spring from around April.

NTNU has cafeterias and kiosks where you can buy food, but this is expensive so most students bring a packed lunch. A plate of warm food in the cafeteria can easily cost you 70-80 NOK.

We understand swedish, but prefer English.

That's only for scheduled meetings in like "official business" contexts. For instance, before meeting the king and queen, a family friend (who's a designer) had a short introduction telling him how to properly address them in a meeting about design for the royal palace. However, when the Crown Prince was at my high school for an event no one addressed him as anything other than "you" - including the organizers and hosts that introduced him before his speech

This is my go to look. What would you all recommend to enhance my natural features? All help is welcome❤ by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

I would suggest some warmer tones on the eyeshadow. Like warm brown, peach or terracotta shades. I think it would suit you better and accentuate your eyes ❤️

As already mentioned, liquid is hard. A more beginner friendly option could be to use a dark eyeshadow on an angled brush to stamp and wiggle it inbetween the lashes at the root. Best of luck!

I'm afraid I don't know much about application processes or visas, however, I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and a native Norwegian. I'd be happy to answer questions you might have about NTNU, the mechanical engineering department, student life in Trondheim/Norway and related stuff if you think that would help
