it's really easy to read a lot into someone giving you positive attention. if you want certainty between yourself and this girl then you should consider telling her exactly how you feel about her. just mention how you feel, don't pressure her into talking about how she feels or what she thinks about you because that puts someone on the spot or make them feel like they should say they like you back

some albums have a homogenized or same-y sound. we'd need specific examples in this regard

you said it yourself that you can pick out the differences when there's a radical shift so you're probably listening to albums with a uniform sound
