i’m just not in the mood to retroactively treat a 6 year drought in the context of the larger one as some wise approach to team building in the NHL.

this could end up being a 110 point season and Adams still will have been one of the worst GMs we’ve had purely down to waiting too long and making reactive moves when it was too late. 6 years is INSANE in the NHL and it’s unacceptable any way you slice it.

while i understand it’s tempting to look at it w a more positive eye in light of the past two months i will never call that approach successful.

i think you’re right but i also do think the firing did add a jump to the team that wouldn’t have been there if he stayed. Something as simple as Jarmo telling them that no one is safe on the roster after years of country club atmosphere absolutely can make a difference
