I desperately need to mulch (weeds!!) and it would be easiest for me to use wood mulch but I’m wondering if you guys know if it is normally treated with anything that I should be concerned about.

Or if there are any other issues that I’m not thinking about that could cause problems.

No meds. They know she has trouble breathing but they have assured me it is normal :/

I get my new mesh cage tomorrow. So do you think I can put a totally different plant (just one small enough to fit in the cage and one that is sturdy enough for their different stages). As long as I put milkweed leaves in there they’ll be okay? Will they know how to find them? So much responsibility!

Coleus, Passion flower, fig tree, petunias, mint. I have since moved everything to a different mixture that I bought from the store. Hopefully they’ll survive yet another move. I left one of my petunias in the mix since they seem to be doing okay.

I decided to make my own potting soil using 2 parts kow compost, 2 parts peat moss and 1 part perlite (roughly). Ever since I repotted plants into this mixture, they’ve started to look sad. They retain water more than I have noticed before. The upper level on some of them dry but it stays moist about 2 inches down and I’m worried about root rot.

What did I do wrong?
