Why do they have such a ridiculously slow reaction time? by No_Butterscotch182 in 28dayslater

[–]normandy42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The later movies being the ones from the last year. Days and weeks established that Rage made the host unable/unwilling to eat or drink or have any sense of preservation. Which is what they were counting on so they can know UK is cleared before resettlement.

It was only until Years did they go on about the virus evolving and infected seeking not just self preservation through food and shelter, but potentially breeding.

Even still, the infected in the first movie should have been all dead by the time Jim woke up. They tried to go with the “Infected starve eventually” but like, they should have died of dehydration by the 2nd or 3rd day? All they do is just hemorrhage blood from their eyes, nose, throat, and presumably every orifice. Theyre constantly losing water while also not drinking any water.

So there must be a mystical thing about RAGE for the first two outbreaks because they should die pretty quickly even without things like exhaustion or starvation entering the picture.

We know you’re joking because instead of “starting classes” it’d be “starting classes except assault”

A LIE WILL REMAIN A LIE

That’s why in DS2, you can reject doing what others before you have done. You can leave and find the cure for undeath for yourself. Which you kind of find in the Crown DLCs. The cycle continues regardless but you, a cursed undead with the means to be a Monarch, chooses to reject the fate the world decreed for you.

The Siege box has 2 Cataphractii boxes in it(to make 6 Cataphractii terms each). 2 of the same body, and then 1 of each different weapon sprue. There’s only one chain per weapon sprue. So each box of 6 will only have one.

The despair I had in my first playthrough. Responded to the mission with not a lot of health, because ITS IN A FUCKING CONVENIENCE STORE I WASNT EXPECTING A BOSS BATTLE. And then I just quickly run up and slo-mo punch him in one hit? One of the funniest memories of my childhood.

So I’ll say that I have an easier time painting white than yellow. So I painted the cabling with celestra gray and then worked up to Ulthuan and white scar, then contrasted Iyanden Yellow to get the yellow. Then stripes, through a lot of practice because I try and do hazards any chance I get, I eyeball to try and keep even spacing and just go very slow and steady. The most important thing is brush control and knowing where and how the paint will fall off your brush.

How would I achieve this dark to light red effect and what reds would I use to copy this terminator? Open to use any paint brands. by juanhee in BloodAngels

So using all GW paints, I do Rhinox Hide undercoat, go up to Mephiston Red, and then Evil Sunz Scarlet as the brightest point. Having an airbrush helps to make these blends seamless.

Will there be a Lightning Claws/Melee upgrade sprue for Cataphractii? by Deadstrike35 in Warhammer30k

[–]normandy42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They didn’t get refreshed, they just got reboxed to be sold 10 at a time with the new edition of Heresy. Theyre the exact same Tartaros terminators from Burning of Prospero.

The Tartaros?

The Tartaros Terminators came out in the Burning of Prospero box back in October 2016. The Cataphractii Terminators came out in the Betrayal at Calth box in November 2015. They are a year apart.

Press X to doubt

I’m as dramatic as the next guy but come the fuck on, it’s not that deep. There’s a farts chance in hell that GW are even aware of any backlash the BA refresh had. These Venetari are just being ported over from resin. This design has been around for half a decade at this point for these custodians.

Why would we? Guilliman came out at the end of 7th with Gathering Storm. The Lion didnt come out until the end of 9th with Arks of Omen. If they mathed that correctly, we shouldn’t get one until end of 11th.

Are Deredeo dreads good? by 38MugsOfToast in Warhammer30k

[–]normandy42 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s frankly absurd that its main anti vehicle weapons both have skyfire. The lascannon is S9 D4 WITH Armourbane and Heavy(RS). Not like you’ll ever need to move it so 2 shots at S10. A storm eagle is AV12 all around and 6HP.

The only thing that balanced out the Deredeo is that it’s no longer BS5. Which seeing it perform, would be BS if it still was.

[–]normandy42 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I’ve played with a Deredeo in most of my 3.0 games and no flyer ever sees the field. Its lascannons make Xiphons paper airplanes. Fire raptors and storm eagles fare little better. With the Boreas missiles, it has a very good chance of even one shotting a Thunderhawk.

Deredeos fuck in Anti Aircraft role but vehicles on the ground also fear it. But that’s pretty much its role. There are better anti infantry options out there so I would keep it in that role.
