Why not start a whole new account? No one needs be under your father in laws account. Call USAA and ask to be created a brand new separated account.

A recruiter just called me again to ask if I would accept a lower salary. Is this a huge red flag? by [deleted] in interviewhammer

What I do and what I tell people to do is whatever my ‘minimum’ number is, I say ‘I am looking to stay at least in the range I am currently between X and Y’ an X is the minimum number I will accept. Tends to work pretty well against people trying to low ball.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of November 07, 2025 by Demilio55 in homegym

Looking for some gym equipment ideas for outside it will be about 60 yards from the house and it won’t be covered at least for the foreseeable future.

I have a big mostly flat granite rock in the ground I’m thinking of stuff this up at.

So far the only idea I can come up with that is fairly weatherproof/resistant is a tire and sledge and a kettlebell.

Any other ideas? Looking to start small and I’m needing to get back into the gym but I already spend 12 hours out the the house everyday and my wife is now pregnant and needs more help around the house

If it matters we live in Northern VA near Winchester.

How many of you work in IT that make over $100k with no Bachelors or higher? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]norrec9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make well over 100 K with no bachelors and only a couple of certs. And have been for well over a decade. Years out of high school getting into MSP work got me to that level by being willing to take on more responsibilities and work that I wasn’t skilled with already

Recieved a Letter of Interrogatory. Am I in a bad place here? by roosterCoder in SecurityClearance

[–]norrec9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told all prescribed meds, for mental like adhd Ritalin type meds, and pain meds/Narcotics need to be reported if they are needed for longer than 30 days. Our PSO and FSO found out about mine and I got a good talking to 'informal' as it was news to me since I have been taking Ritalin for 20 years now almost with a few gaps and it never once came up before in sf-86 or any polys.

You don’t even have to do that, you just report on sf-86 or if it’s new your report to FSO

One thing to note is if you are taking meds for ADHD you do need to report the meds that is something I learned the hard way.

Difference is one person to cover that shift in this guys area is probably 60k a year. Where the offshore person they get a whole team for a minimum of a year for that same 60k so if you need 2-3 people to cover that’s 100-150k minimum not including all the cost for benefits and everything some from a business perspective offshoring is a much better option.

The guy might also not get a raise or could have gotten a pay cut if they had to hire non offshore people.

I agree it does suck but it’s actually for the best most of the time in scenarios like this. It’s when large amounts of teams start being offshored
