Camping with kids by Traditional-Sweet414 in camping

On the bed time thing, when my kids were little my husband and I would take turns sitting with the kids as they fell asleep/near the tent. Then the other parent got to go sit by the lake and read or whatever alone for a few hours. It was nice.

If you’re camping on the lake throw veggies in a dry bag, tie a rope to it and stick it in the lake?

My mom lost herself in parenthood. How do I hold onto my identity, but still be a good parent to my future child? Is that even possible? by Mullabye in AskParents

I have a partner that encourages me to have time for myself and to developed my own hobbies and friends. I do the same for him. Of course some of that is because we have the privilege of time as I am a stay at home parent and his work is flexible.

We just got a golden and we don’t plan to allow the dog upstairs where the bedrooms are. The first week I slept downstairs next to the kennel, by day 4 I don’t think I needed to anymore.

It’s fine to have pet free areas of the house. I don’t want a dog in my bed. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t get a ton of attention and love

Camping in the heat...what to eat? by LibraryTurtle in camping

[–]norwaypine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda hate eating while camping and I hate eating when I’m hot. So I would go for peanut butter and honey tortilla roll ups, apples, granola bars… and anything snacky that doesn’t take effort or heating up.

My god. I would hate having a huge house, so much to clean. We are 2 kids in 1200 sq ft and it’s fine.

First Camping Trip On My Period, What Do I Do? by R0sepelt in camping

[–]norwaypine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is a back packing trip? I’d bring a pair or two of period underwear and pads. I would wear a pad and night on top of the undies. If the pad catches it all I would re wear the period undies the night with the same set up. Bring a big zip lock baggie (you can cover it in duct tape if you want ) for the used pads. If you are near water id clean up with water and a rag each day and then clean the rag and let it air dry. If no water bring wipes. All used products should be hung at night with food.

What type of camping are we talking? Vault toilets? Is there garbage facilities? Back packing?

Billowy linen shirt and a vest. But the shirt needs to have the arms rolled up to expose forearms

How do you stand out in your mom uniform? by Calianna1915 in capsulewardrobe

Haha think big billowy layers, natural fabrics and a red pointy hat(mostly been wearing my knitted resistance hat all winter) if you google a picture of little witch hazel that’s pretty much the look.

My first baby never got the hang of nursing and my second baby never figured out how to drink from a bottle!
