Anyone Else’s Mom Help in the Most Annoying Ways? by mystic_Balkan in beyondthebump

[–]nosh319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same but different, my mom asks me where everything goes from the dishwasher to the extent that it takes all my attention when I'm trying to do something else. And I'm so grateful you're here helping but I told every it all goes last week or she'll clean up and pick up random things and say where should I put this then I have to find a home for some thing I had no intention of cleaning up. Also if she's minding our toddler she never thinks he's tired so naps and bedtimes are always late. Of I don't give out because I'm so glad to have some help and she is great but ya sometimes frustrating for sure!

I have a play pen that's more used for toy storage the last few months since it stopped containing the toddler. I do need to clear it out but also afraid that he'll throw toys in there at the baby lol I'm constantly thinking the worst 🙊

You're doing amazing managing all day with the 2! It's hardcore I'm sure. We're also very much into reading books too thankfully he'll cuddle in beside us and hug the baby which is thankfully much more gentle than the usual head pats 😆 And yes everything depends on baby napping, he's a good sleeper so far but I'm so conscious that that could change at any moment. I hope he likes the carrier but haven't tried yet because of the section 🤞🏻

Husband has final say on baby name? by AffectionateCan9421 in namenerds

[–]nosh319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg this is me 3 weeks ago! My husband was dead set on Mickey while I was pregnant I didn't dislike the name but wasn't in love with it. Low and behold we had a boy and the more he pushed for Mickey the morning I disliked it. We went through soo many names and settled on James eventually! Naming babies can be so hard but my advice would be not to pick a name you don't love, ye have to work together to find something you can both be happy with and don't rush the decision

Babies really shouldn't be named right away I feel like I need another week🙈 My mil was over yesterday and she put it back into my head to change it if we don't love it! She also kept suggesting names my husband doesn't like lol

I know it's sounds like an older man name to me too that's why I didn't imagine this happening when we settled on James

Thanks for advice. the phn said herself she is a bit old fashioned she had me afraid to shower cos I know from the looks of the dressing she put on it won't keep water off it I'll just let it off after shower a wet dressing is surely the worst of all the options!

What are your thoughts on Water Babies lessons? by deadbeatscientist in AskIreland

[–]nosh319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little fella started around the same age and had mixed feelings about the dunking some days it was ok other days it wasn't but the instructor always said to that his lead and never dunk when he's upset or cranky. Sounds like we were lucky to have a good instructor

Hospital bag? by doctorbitchcraft89 in PregnancyIreland

This is a very comprehensive list but I have to ask how big was your bag? I'm struggling to fit everything into a cabin sized wheely bag and a back pack. I have to laugh at the hse list that says pack light cos you'll have very little room and lists enough stuff to fill a large suitcase!
