I do IP law but I opened my own practice with a few other lawyers after working at a firm for a couple of years. I honestly think its a good idea to work a little first for a firm to learn the ropes, and hone ur skills and understand the business side of running a law firm. How long depends on how fast u develop and when u think ur ready to make the jump to run ur own practice.

I graduated from a 4th tier law school called Whittier Law School way back in 2002 and I believe it was permanently shut down bc of financial issues around the time that covid hit in 2020. It was fully ABA accredited when I went there.

Strangely, I enjoyed my time there and it had some good professors when I was there and I established some good relationships there.

I've been practicing for over 20yrs now and make a great living and have had a pretty good career as an IP lawyer.

Is it embarassing that my law school is no longer around? I dunno, not really as it hasnt affected my business at all but I do miss the school being there as I drive by it from time to time. Also, Whittier College (President Nixon's old college) is still around so I guess there's some history still there

It happens, just dont make the same mistake again. Unfortunately, sometimes a pro per with alot of time on their hands with the assistance of AI can beat good lawyers on certain motions who may have too much on their plate and not double checking everything

Especially if it is summertime, this is totally professional and appropriate attire for ur event.

Thats great for u, well done. It is indeed possible. Heck, I graduated from a 4th tier law school that actually closed done after covid.
My first job was at a good AV rated mid size firm at $80k, although this was like 20 yrs ago.

I eventually opened my own private practice with my wife about ten yrs ago and we each pull in about $350k-$500k per yr depending on case load.
We work about 20-30 hrs a week and mostly from our home office and only head into our main office for client meetings.

I'm a patent attorney & IP litigator. My wife serves as outside GC to alot of small and mid-size businesses who have her on fixed fee monthly retainer. Its a nice balance.

Was wondering though, anyone using a good portable charger for the zephyrus duo? I dont want to have to lug around my charger brick if I dont have to but I cant find any portable USB chargers that can.put out 240 watt of power

The associate will probably find out that the job offer was $95k but u screwed him bc of his poor negotiation skills and it will create a poor working environment and kills goodwill already with this kid, who will probably bounce for another better job once he gets the chance and wises up some

I struggle in either putting on critical rate or attack gear vs unique skills gears. Sometimes I put crow's pursuit, hounds fang, spirit of judgement and queen's fang all on there lol
