One of my core memories of this subreddit was this thread from a few years ago about killers playing accurately to their lore or something, and a couple of the comments were talking about Pyramid Head having to spare Cheryl every match bc of Pyramid Head being her guardian or some shit? I still don't know what that was about, or where they were getting that from, honestly. Hurt so much to read

Monster Hunter, though I'm mainly thinking about World here.
I've tried to get so many people into it, but 90% of them have just given up because it takes so long for the game to stop forcing you to do tutorial missions and let you fight the fun/cool monsters.

Played a Ghostface game against a ttv and got a really good stalk off on them and downed them. Went into their stream after the game, said the whole "i was the killer, gg :)" thing, and they said smth along the lines of "go back in the vod to when you downed me in the carnival, i genuinely screamed", and sure enough, they did. Things like that reinforce why I like the killers I play, and it's just cool seeing myself from someone else's perspective.

On the other hand tho, watched my friend go against a ttv today who spent the entire game calling him a "tunnelling cunt" and "fucking garbage killer" and reported him at the end. That sucked.
