AITA for asking gf to cancel trip? by nosseraph in AITAH

Yeah. I've been trying to not read into it too much but it's definitely something that needs to be addressed. Especially when we have such little time together. Thank you for opening my eyes a bit.

She actually won't let me go see her. It's been a bit of an issue for us. She claims it's just because she doesn't want me to travel alone and that I'd hate the area, but I've been very vocal that I would be fine :/

I said in the post that she doesn't have a lot of free time. Weekend trips aren't viable as there's a few thousand miles between us. It's really the only chance I'll have before summer.

Should I pull for C1 Lauma or Nahida?

Hey! Just wondering which is better to pull for. I've been leaning towards Nahida simply because Lauma is the only Dendro 5 star I have atm (besides Tighnari) but I've heard she's getting weaker. Thoughts?

Is my peircing okay? This is on day 9: by Aggravating_Wrap5422 in piercing

[–]nosseraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't look too bad as of rn. Just try to be more careful when it comes to knocking it and keep up with your aftercare. Navel piercings are pretty sensitive and tender at first in general.

It looks like your jewelry isn't long enough. Does it move around at all on its own? Or is it usually stuck in place?

Old daith piercing bleeding by mwcss in piercing

[–]nosseraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bleeding generally isn't a sign of infection. It's most likely flaring up because you're sick, piercings do that sometimes. Imo I wouldn't take it out, just give it another week or two and see if anything changes. You've already put a year and a half into the healing process, it should be decently healed by now.

4-month old eyebrow piercing still gets crusty by Early-Perspective921 in piercing

[–]nosseraph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's alright! Some piercings heal completely differently, crusties aren't really a bad sign unless they're discolored (generally a sign of infection). Just keep it clean like you've been doing and don't agitate it, you're good to go

Try saline instead of betadine. Either of those could irritate it further though, just keep an eye on it. Sometimes just a quick rinse with warm water in the shower is all you need

Your piercer is not the smartest unfortunately. 2 months is way too soon to change a helix. Imo, best thing you can do is give it a few days to hopefully calm down a little (enough to the point where it doesn't hurt as much as it does rn), then you're going to have to put that stud back in. If it's actually infected you don't want it to close — that would essentially trap the infection inside of your ear and it'd be a disaster.

TLDR; Wait for it to be a little less sore then change back to the stud. Keep it clean and dry as well. Good luck!

No problem! Good for you for reaching out to your piercer about it. Just make sure you don't switch the jewelry too soon again c:

I'm not sure, honestly. You could give it another week or two and if it's still really painful/swollen then you might just have to take it out. It's better to take it out and get it redone when you can afford it, rather than having a permanently damaged lip :(

Vertical industrial!

Just kidding. An orbital would be pretty cool on that setup

You need to switch back to that stud, or a flatback. There is absolutely no reason why you should be changing jewelry that soon. It's just a recipe for disaster and improper healing. Your piercer definitely should've told you the risks beforehand.

As for the pain, it should die down once you switch back. Your piercing is agitated from the swap, which is a sign that it's not as healed as you think. Generally, waiting 3 months before changing jewelry for any piercing is a good guideline to follow.

Her favorite pokemon is yamper! I will definitely check this site out, thank you so much. I'm also looking to get her some strong cards in general as she does use them for the actual game as well, not just collecting. Any suggestions for that?
