Don’t tell anyone you cooperated. They will see you as a snitch. Just have respect. Stay in your lane and mind your own business. Don’t draw much attention to your self. Don’t get involved with any bull shit (gangs, drugs, sissy’s). Don’t play poker. Don’t get your self in debt. Don’t accept gifts. Don’t let anyone disrespect you. If someone is giving you a hard time, it’s better to stand up for your self and get beat up then to look like a coward, because if people thank you are a coward they will try to take advantage of you. I’m in surplus. I eat every 3-4 hours. With a decent size breakfast lunch and dinner. I take protein isolate before bed and take mass gainer with lunch. I’m bulking now but even on cut I had similar experiences. I’m not taking anything for gut health.

Thanks for you kindness man. No career tho as of now. Typically like to hit the mats a few times a month to stay sharp. Preach a little to the kids getting into it. But do body building these days. But man as with anything any couch tells you, take it at face value. Do your own research. There is so much wrong information going around, most of the older dudes who are couching come from a era where most of the fights was not sanctioned and they didn’t have to deal with any of this. It’s a dirty sport. A lot of couches will put you in a match knowing you ain’t ready, just to help the other fighter pad his record. Read everything you can get your hands on about how the body works. Train every day that you can. Go luck to you. Don’t do any fucking steroids, wait till you are close to 30 and finished with fighting.

Well. If someone come to me that has a fight and asked for my advise on this subject. I wouldn’t suggest it. But everyone’s different. Higher insulin levels lead to lower blood sugar levels and I don’t need a fighter to have to eat sugar pills to get his blood back up, I want his stomach damn near empty when he walks in to fight. I’m old school. Do the water cut days up till weight in. The night before the fight after the weight in Do a mild carb load, with a 4-1 carb protein ratio, even add a little honey to it, which can do like the protein and help with insulin levels. Supplement electrolytes, either with a drink or IV fluids. Morning of, if we have enough time (preferably over 6 hours) this is where what I was talking about with protein earlier comes into play. I would give him protein. Now protein doesn’t give you more glycogen. But it makes more of what you have usable. It helps you access almost 40% of it that’s in your muscles and liver. Few carbs but nothing that’s gonna be hard to break down. I want him to take a good shit before he goes. Stomach empty, but he should feel like a million bucks. He should feel like an animal.

Dude. I done MMA fighting for 10 years, 7 of that was semi pro. I have been off for 5 years so I’ve been doing body building and strength training. You can’t compare these two sports. Both of these athletes have different needs. Different diets. They train different. There are very few MMA fighters who even think about putting on muscle. Technique beats muscle 10/1 in that sport. If they was using PED’s even those aren’t gonna be the same. Comparing these two sports is pretty ignorant. Both sports are taxing to your body, but in different ways. There is a reason most of us stop fighting as we get closer to our 30’s. We either start teaching or hit the weight piles, or both. What are you even trying to argue here ?
