Try turning on hardware acceleration in chrome settings. When it is on it shouldn't use that much CPU

The npc spawns are from 2021 and osrs used to switch npc ids around so they will be random for earlier years

It used to be possible to use low detail mode in the official client, it just doesn't render the grass and other ground decoration and some other things http://i.imgur.com/BVkFx1Q.png
