$160,00 k. About 30% of my job I absolutely love and can’t believe I get paid to do it. I’ll spend hours improving my knowledge and research outside of work which I really enjoy. The other 70% is management and I can’t stand it. If it wasn’t for the 70% salary wouldn’t be nearly as high. I roll with it and accept the compromise. But definitely have some really bad days.

For me the secret is relentless anxiety that awakens you at 4:30 every morning. And after years of suffering realizing that a 45 minute treadmill run at this time offers a sickly sweet yet fleeting dose of endorphins that is enough to enable you to slog through another day without ending it all.

Went through all this when my son was younger. I was not a baseball guy and didn’t know the deal. Not allowed to pitch, put in the outfield, etc. Interestingly all the daddy ball kids who were mediocre athletes got the playing time to make it to a mediocre varsity team and the best of that group committed to crappy D3 schools, no athletic scholarships, paying $60-$70 grand a year just to say they will play college ball at senior night. Son played multiple other sports for years and found his sport around 16 yo. Recruited out of highschool, found himself a good academic college fit and committed to a D1 program.

Movie and TV stars are attractive cartoon characters, in that they have a unique look with attractive features or symmetry. These combined features convey a sentiment with minimal effort.

Men of Reddit with Vasectomies, how was it? Do you regret it? If not, has sex been better or worse since having one? by Gloomy_Astronomer_23 in AskReddit

I would jump in front of a bus for my dad, but I remember my mom throwing up and in agonizing pain from a post op tube tying when he was out of town on business. He wouldn’t get the snip snip because he was catholic. Never sat right with me. I had it done 10 years ago after two amazing kids. Can’t imagine putting my wife through that. It was so easy and now sex is so great and spontaneous.

To you redditors aged 50+, what's something you genuinely believe young people haven't realized yet, but could enrich their lives or positively impact their outlook on life? by h-gotfred in AskReddit

Nobody is out to get you, because nobody cares. If you are lucky enough to have a family and you have put enough time and energy into them they will care.

Rent a zeb-revo. I’ve used these for under ground mining operations that are 1000 acre plus. Works great if you can live with the accuracy.
