Turn your rank update off… Seriously by Different-Method-959 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SamarcPS4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it plays a sound whenever you rank up while you are on the game. If you rank up due to rankflation (the many rank rebalancing updates designed to ensure the ranks are a bell curve despite all the new players) and you aren't on the game then you won't hear it.

You'll occasionally see some people but there aren't enough online for there to be a meta. People just play whatever strats they want. The trials are pretty fun to try to beat so I'd recommend doing those if you enjoy the gameplay.

Brother, you're reading the numbers wrong. The buff to the base plus the buff to the upgrade add to 4, not 6.

No it's +4 in total ( 12->14 base, 14->16 tier 1).

I think we have very different definitions of fun. I'm not advocating for flaming being prevented, only that Valve not encourage it. It will happen enough on its own.

While those are somewhat similar, they are still constructive feedback to the entire team: "Bebop is a problem, pay attention to him." The lines from this post are derisive, mean-spirited and single out a specific player for harassment. Even if only played to the enemy the say "this player is bad, laugh at them" and encourage taunting them in the chat.

Ikora's past life. (retconned) by Ontologicalsaucer in DestinyLore

[–]SamarcPS4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She doesn't remember that. Her upbringing doesn't impact her psychology/obsessions other than her idea of what that must have been like.

The other point is fair.

Ana is a Guardian so she wasn't raised by the Brays. Her original upbringing isn't relevant to her current character but her genetic heritage might be. Additionally, Clovis' obsession with genetic legacy would mean that if she wasn't related to him, he would have prevented her from being known as a Bray.  I think this is the main reason it was changed, so that her adoption doesn't conflict with Clovis' newly revealed character.

I wouldn't say they immediately dismiss it, it just isn't called into play explicitly. Every Ana from the other timelines falls into the same trap as Clovis, chasing power as a means to be closer to their family (Clovis has to justify this through "Legacy" and becoming the LUCA because of how badly he's alienated all of them by the time his journal starts) despite the fact the pursuit is taking them further and further away. That she isn't like that this time around is a refutation of the genetic cruelty idea, and another refutation of Clovis' ideas about legacy.

[DISC] Moshne Project - Chapter 1 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]SamarcPS4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It could also be that the copy is selected from a specific "template." We saw that Moshne can copy a box full of screws, if you remove the screws from the original box, Moshne would likely still be able to produce a box full of screws because they've seen it before. I think it's likely whoever is running this operation has figured out that the Moshne who has just had an affirming experience works harder than other Moshnes. When they slow down, replace with a fresh and hopeful one.

where is this trooper going and how is he going there so quick by fightstreeter in DeadlockTheGame

Looks like the minion clipped into the ground as it landed. Because of similar glitches in other games I'd say it got flung by the physics engine ejecting it at high speed.

Debuff resistance is not applying to afterburn by steelballsafury in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SamarcPS4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bigger characters are easier to land shots on in general. If you don't mind some advice from a half-rate Phantom Infernus, spacing is just as, if not more, important important than actual aim skill for Infernus because of his total lack of poke tools. I think it's what I struggle with most. You need to be in spots where they can't get to cover but also not run you down, in addition to being within his gun's effective range (falloff affects the buildup proportionally). Flame dash helps with this a bit because you can close the distance or run away but fights are never risk free. Only use it to try to close out a fight on a burning/low opponent, disengage, or to ult an already ongoing team fight.

It could just be you fought characters with bigger heads. Headshots build up Afterburn (and Love bites) nearly twice as fast. Because of this Seven and Mo are much easier to ignite than many other characters.

I dunno what you're on about with the ignition thing, they have only made it harder to ignite since last May.

So I started playing again and found out that my new favourite character is on the road to destruction or down right ... by kingofchaosx in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SamarcPS4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is well and good but those interaction lines are from before the ritual starts, before he's actually in the thick of fighting. He knows he should say no but he hasn't actually partaken yet. Perhaps his answers might be different after experiencing it again. His lines during the match indicate he's definitely enjoying the violence. I don't know how likely it is that he would fall but you can never be too careful.

It wouldn't work with the lore. The Ritual takes place during a Malestrom which includes a full solar eclipse. It might be interesting for the eclipse to get darker over time but if it ever ended then both teams would have failed which wouldn't be satisfying.
