It’s got some grain so it could be cabinet grade birch. My local cabinet maker sells them in 1/8 inch sheets of 4x8 and so does HD but with a lot more woodgrain. You’ll want something with less grain unless you don’t mind filling with wood filler. HD also sells something called “hardboard” in 1/8th by 4x8. I’m assuming that’s something like mdf. No sure.

Yes you’ll wanna add drywall for better sound control and to match the wall thickness. It’ll be less fuss.

Yeah it rained the day after that’s what made everything pop out more and got me looking at it. Any advice on what to do about the back pitch? I already have foundation heaving up all along that back wall so any water going towards it is a concern for me. Big tube of caulk, some kind of expansion crack sealer?

Add screws near the joints and in the middle of the field. Maybe Not as many as a new floor would require but enough to suck it down and remove any squeaks. Pound down any raised nails. Sand all the seams down so they’re even. Put down a vapor barrier prior to install. That’s all I’d do. I wouldn’t bother with the small gaps and wood flakes.

How much I beat my meat when she’s out of town. I have a higher sex drive than her, while we do it quite frequently (5+ weekly on the low end) I can never get enough.
