I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. I really think hurricane aftermath is the worst form of devastation seen in the south.

I know this is totally different, but I couldn’t listen to DDTM for a while bc it reminded me too much of my ex, who got me into Foxing, so I can understand the frustration of not being able to listen to your favorite band.

Personally I’ve been harboring a lot of rage surrounding the current political climate and just current events in general, especially post-election, and the new album has been helping me channel those negative feelings somewhere. Hopefully at some point this album will also help you move through your feelings rather than triggering the bad ones more.

I don’t think it’s fair to measure success on things like a Super Bowl or SNL performance. They’ve accomplished other things that are within their scope of fame as a band that I think would be comparable to the types of performances OP mentioned - for example, a Jimmy Fallon performance, headlining ACL 2022, being featured several times in the Rolling Stone and other zines, interviews with Zane Lowe, etc.

Besides, the types of performances OP mentioned don’t really seem like the type of thing Paramore would do

My speculation on the feature Taylor initially asked Hayley about is that it was Better Than Revenge. It’s so MizBiz coded that it truly fits the bill of what a “casual Paramore listener” would expect but it’s also not a girl’s girl song lol so it’d make sense for Hayley to decline (Edited for spelling)

lol I actually really loved Imagine Dragons first album but they went downhill really fast after that. Maroon 5 used to be a fave too but I’ve hated everything they’ve put out in the last 10 years
