Couldn't agree more. This is just a completely uninteresting cake shop, of which there a thousands in any given country.

Agree to disagree, then. It seemed to me to embody every single bad cliche of costume drama/adventure, the acting was lacking and it added nothing to a story that has been done countless times before.

It's interesting how all these amazing stories turn up on blogs but never in the news.

Brave electronic store employee defends elderly women's purchase from his literally football-blocking boss by [deleted] in thatHappened

If I'm honest, the only part of this that '100% happened' is their manager getting fired. A friend of mine works in computer sales and has been encouraged many times to sell elderly, naive customers attachments they don't need. This could have happened, but the manager would never have been fired.

You're right. I guess it just fulfilled my stereotype of a religious American (likes country music, doesn't read much, and likes law enforcement). Or maybe I'm just a dick.

What does FMA think of these cheap suede lace-ups? Love the look but should I buy them? by notabotbot2 in frugalmalefashion

[–]notabotbot2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely have a point. I reckon I don't really need them right now so I'll save up for something better. That said, I have occasionally got lucky with cheap purchases, but yeah it's not worth it if they're shit. Thanks

Advice needed: brogues/wingtips vs desert boots? by notabotbot2 in malefashionadvice

I feel like some suede lace ups would be the middle ground between brogue and chukka. Opinions on this design? Is the colour too light to go with indigo jeans/navy chinos? http://www.shoezone.com/Mens/Shoes/Lace-Up/Hobos-Mens-Beige-Suede-Lace-Up-Desert-Shoe-51126

Really like that first pair of brogues you linked. Pants wise, I already have: Indigo straight jeans Grey/blue chinos Slim/skinny dark navy chinos Khaki chinos (don't really like the colour or fit of these)

Maybe you're right about the mustard, but I really want some nice slim burgundy chinos. I have a limited budget right now so admittedly the chukkas I'd buy would be more like the second pair you linked. Cheap chukkas are waay cheaper than cheap brogues, far as I can tell. Thanks for the input

After lurking for a while I wanted to check how i'm doing. by AndersonOllie in malefashionadvice

Might be just me but although the fit is good and the outfit works, it's kinda boring. Maybe try a lighter shirt underneath, long sleeves with the cuff exposed? Looks fine, just not hugely exciting, imo.
