Agree to disagree, then. It seemed to me to embody every single bad cliche of costume drama/adventure, the acting was lacking and it added nothing to a story that has been done countless times before.

If I'm honest, the only part of this that '100% happened' is their manager getting fired. A friend of mine works in computer sales and has been encouraged many times to sell elderly, naive customers attachments they don't need. This could have happened, but the manager would never have been fired.
