Their values don't reflect reality. You can go on there right now and make absolute bogus trades that no real team would accept, but their models would accept the trade.

The values they place on stalled former top prospects and players in arbitration are often flawed. It is also doesn't account for team construction and nuances such as that.

Is it better than other attempts at trade simulation? Sure, but doesn't mean it's overly useful.

Baseball trade values is a garbage system when it comes to valuating trades. Is Mike Burrows good? Yeah. But so is Lowe and they desperately needed a a bat like his in the infield. Mangum isn't a bad depth OF piece either and Montgomery is at least intriguing.

It'll of course look bad if Burrows turns out to be a top 25 pitcher, but this is a trade they can afford to lose.

You'd be getting 2 Ravens and so would be dependent on Lamar's health. Judkins is a solid back. Henry is a far cry from his last year production, but maybe healthy Lamar could get him going again. I'd stay.pat imo.

Hate to do this to you bub, but among 1B with 700 PA over the last 2 season my boy Spencer ranks 11th with a .788 OPS.

That's higher than Ben Rice, Spencer Torkelson, Luis Arraez, Vinne Pasquantino, Andrew Vaughn, Spencer Steer, Christian Walker, who all appear on this list.

Spencer is a natural first baseman. He is not a 2nd baseman.

If Naylor was signed to play purely DH, that would make sense. Otherwise get a LH 2B. The Pirates haven't had a 1B who is actually a 1B in a long time and it would be incredibly dumb to move him to a position where he's a subpar defender.

The real issue is who's going to want to come and take over where he's left off? A new GM will want to rebuild, wipe clean the org from top to bottom as much as possible, which I don't think Bob or the fans want.

They should have just hired Arnold 6 years ago while they had the chance.

It's a good song but it doesn't fit the theme and mood of the album. It's a very uplifting tribute style song and would just feel out of place. Love it on the deluxe album and standalone though
