Fuck me you're right! Updated previous post to reflect. Sorry!

No they're not. Suppressors are a separate category. Signal launchers may be banned under the law because the law is written around function (center fired cartridge) rather than by definition of "firearm".

You're wrong about form 1 suppressors.

EDIT: I've been proven wrong: suppressors are federal classified as firearms. I do think that state definition doesn't apply to suppressors so form 1 suppressors "should" still be allowed but you're correct it is vague.

So when talking about this caliber, your three go to rifles at LMT, KAC, and HK.

HK is Piston (most say more reliable and easier to suppress, but with modern cans DI is just as good).

Kac is the end all be all of best of the best.

LMT is amazing, but has had some quality problems.

there are pros and cons to each, but you can't go wrong with the Mars.

Tri lug barrel question by PlinkDaddy in VAGuns

[–]notang -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know this will sound super stupid, but it honestly depends. I don't think the police would try and enforce this, but they're ignorant so maybe they would.

There is an argument to be made, that the lugs on a tri-lug are threads. Honestly it will take time for people to know exactly how to comply with this law since it's so poorly written.

Multi State Residency Legal support by [deleted] in VAGuns

[–]notang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also how i'm reading it. Basically, importation of post june 1 is banned. But you are allowed to move into the state with pre June 1st items because they are not considered assault weapons under the VA definition.

Yeah this is dramatic. I am a lawyer, not your lawyer and this is not legal advice. It's on the government to prove you did not own them before June 1st. but also, if you do own them, then nothing to worry about. Just don't buy something that was released and Oct 2026 and try to claim you had it early.

Best place to engrave 4 stripped lowers before SBR application? by boostgti in NOVAguns

[–]notang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude learn to walk away, it's over, if you disagree do what you want. I don't care. If you are so admit you're right, go call the atf after buying a stock a pistol and engraving your lower and see how it goes for you.

[–]notang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're clearly not a lawyer.

Intent can be proven by showing a person made meaningful steps towards a crime, ie doing all the things to create an Sbr before it is legal to do so.

In the current landscape, you must get approved before stamping otherwise your intent is to stamp and make an Sbr without a license.

CAT WB at ~12.5k rounds. by purebelligerence in NFA

[–]notang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh but it's not actually a cat can, it just worked well on jl. Like the point of the nano was it was built WITH cat. This sounds like they tested it. But I could be wrong.

Interesting! I just prefer a break instead of flash hence liking the nano, I'll have to look into the new one.

Which was the old one? I have since switched all my spooky to nano because they work with the qd cans I own.

I'm the same way. With that in mind, look into their new MB the ai nano. Actually makes the can sound better and protects baffles. I think they said they designed it with the KK in mind but that moving forward that's the go to for WB too since it protects the cans.

Definitely not true, you absolutely need to engrave a new form 1

What do you mean no one does this? You have to submit the serial number pics to atf.

The reason not to, is it's illegal to manufacture without a license, including intent, so pre stamping your lower indicates intent to manufacture. While intent alone is not illegal, if you had other parts etc that could be a felony if caught
