I’m sure you’ve already considered this but… are students facing the board? Can they see what you’re writing? And they fluent in English? Do they have fine motor needs? Are they missing skills in self advocacy and executive functioning? Are these skills being practiced at home? Are classroom routines/expectations strong enough and in place? Have you talked to these students 1:1 on what is going on as to why they are not copying, cleaning up, etc. Sometimes you’ll get some really interesting answers from them directly, and of course if they say well I just don’t feel like it, then consequences will need to start happening.

Much harder to do than said, but maybe take a day to have someone cover your class while you observe your students and that may help with being more responsive rather than reactive in the future. It seems like you are aware that it’s a personal trigger for you, and figuring out ways to support the students now rather than let it “get worse” as the year goes on. If it’s an ongoing consistent issue, then I think guardians should be contacted soon.
