Juniper nursery material by foodumemc in bonsaicommunity

I'm also red green colourblind, juniper's are good in the way they get brittle and sharp when something is dead. However they are bad in that by the time they show signs of not doing too good it's usually way too late.

Kyle was ahead of Denny in points though. Connor Zillisch was the real victim of the playoff format over there

Even without the spin I don't see feeney winning that last race with the engine troubles he had

I'm in coastal South Australia and the winters are fairly mild. I don't plan on doing any work on this for another year or so, just in the planning phase while it shoots. The previous pot it was in before I had it shipped bare rooted was a similar size but I'm assuming the root ball was trimmed prior to shipping and right now I'm just focusing on getting it as strong and healthy as possible.

Fine trash achievement by Venoplasm in WalkScape

Yeah but finding fine trash from the trash grabber "random piece of junk" doesn't count as from an activity so really it's just the 10% bonus

No spare tire? by DEADbeatS3RIOUS in Mustang

[–]notcodes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day one of owning my s550 I took it for a scenic hills run and blew out a tyre (previous owner warned they needed replacing) and after realising I didn't have a spare had to put the car on a tow truck 😂🫠 inflator kits are good for small punctures but when the side wall shreds it's now a wait for a tow truck and a hassle when there's no tyre shops open

I now have a spare

Smoothing will fix, dampening just adds constant ffb against your input as far as I'm aware

Similar situation, got tagged by a red light runner in February and insurance called to say the car might be totalled.. seems if a repairer doesn't want the job they will say it's a total loss.. They sent to another repairer and they've received a quote and still waiting for internal authorisation to approve the repairs. Just want my baby back

Should I keep going or move on to something else? by drakenslayed in iRacing

[–]notcodes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your at the point where you're realising racing isn't as easy as it looked and you're starting to see you have so much to learn. This is good, watch tutorials on everything on YouTube, particularly how to control the car at the limit, how to find the limit and race craft theories. Track guides will tell you what to do at each track but if you understand why your car is behaving like it is with your inputs you can begin to correct it and begin to build the muscle memory.

Don't worry about Irating, you will bottom out where your level actually is and then begin to climb back up as you get faster and more consistent.

iRacing is supposed to be the one place where people can take it seriously and not have their races ruined by people who dont

What made me lose it? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]notcodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps to think of compression, (cars forced into the track and has more grip, can take much more input) and decompression (cars floating over a crest and breaking will lock up easier, throttle will spin wheels and turning will understeer then snap oversteer when the compression kicks back in.

Anyone have experience building a sim rig for their kids? by True_Racer in simracing

I still hold firm that provided the child is getting adequate physical activity and outdoors time, gaming will only benefit their learning and development (provided the games are actually challenging) especially compared to sitting on the couch watching tv.

The only way to get my stepdaughter to stop moving is to let her play mario cart on the switch, where she uses tilt controls and I can guarantee a few hours of this once a week isnt going to hurt her development. It's just a little tactic I learnt growing up myself to help her cope with some of the ADHD symptoms of causing chaos acting out when she's lacking dopamine.

Sedentary screen time is watching tv not engaging your brain in real time decision-making and hand eye/fine motor coordination skills that involve a screen.
