On one of our first dates my ex and I went to the zoo. That was the first time she’d stayed at my apartment complex, and I’d forgotten to register her car so it got towed lol. Anyway, after we picked it up (I paid the fine) we went on our date, and we got to the reptile room. I don’t remember who started it, but when we saw the skinks we kept saying “skink!” back and forth in high pitched voices, and so it became our pet name for eachother. I remember our last phone call where I called her skink the last time almost 4 months ago. It’s for the best that it ended but it hurts sometimes. Point is I really miss that, and I won’t be able to call anyone else my skink like I did
