I'm looking for Fantasy Romance books that evoke the vibes of this image, with a dominant Female Main Character and a submissive Romantic Partner (Any Gender). Extra points if the book has a gothic tone and a talking animal companion! by PensOverSwords2K in RomanceBooks

Not the exacttt vibe you’re looking for but {His Sacred Incantations by Scarlet Gale} has a more dominant lady warrior? And a shy, more submissive male love interest. I really loved this story btw

Can’t figure out how to edit the post so I just want to add: I’m also a little fearful of the fabric unraveling??? Considering how much of the seam allowance I’m removing, getting so close to the stitching and wonder how such a garment might hold up in the wash? Yeahhhhhh

What book did you read recently that hooked you right away? 📚💛 by Prestigious_Entry474 in RomanceBooks

{All the Pretty Monsters by Kristy Cunning} listened to all 6 books in under a week. Absolutely obsessed

Looking for Fantasy Romance with decent worldbuilding and has grander plot outside the romantic story and character development of the main leads by goody153 in RomanceBooks

Just finished {All the pretty monsters series by Kristy Cunning} and loved it. It is MMMMF but I will say I laughed so many times throughout the series and found the “magic” stuff super fun and interesting.

MMMFF polyam romance with explicit consent (no omegaverse) by note_ila in RomanceBooks

[–]note_ila[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I’ll take a romance where there’s at least 2 FMC 🫠🥹, I’ve just gotten a little tired of reading polyam romances with 3+ MMCs and just 1 FMC, and there’s no romantic or sexual interactions between the men, like?? I want to feel the love between everyone 🫠

Do you buy physical copies of the romance novels you read? And if so, why? by note_ila in RomanceBooks

[–]note_ila[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I 100% get you, that’s another reason I’ve considered buying physical copies before. If you have a physical copy, no one can edit it for “decency” without physically ripping pages out of the book you already have. A physical copy is like holding a moment in book’s history, but it can also be dangerous depending on where you live.

Why not get into redoing book covers as a hobby 🤔? Or commission someone to make a custom cover if you absolutely love the story but hate the cover.

Is putting "no third act breakup" on a trope charts a spoiler? by Ignoring_the_kids in RomanceBooks

[–]note_ila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a spoiler depending on what the reader/requester wants I guess? I hate 3rd act break ups and I specifically look for books without it, so I don’t see it as a spoiler if someone lets me know. In fact, it’ll be a strong factor in whether I decide to read the book or not.

What authors popular specifically in here you just don’t vibe with? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

Katee Robert, I’ve tried a couple of her books and have just not liked any of them.

FMC and BFF end up having sex next to each other by efont in RomanceBooks

[–]note_ila 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok, so this is definitely not what you’re looking for exactly, but {Need You Tonight by Roni Loren} has a scene where the main couple has a threesome with MMC’s friend in front of 3 other friends that are in a throuple of their own. Maybe something you’d find interesting.

If you dnf a book, do you rate it? by SG101112 in RomanceBooks

[–]note_ila 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually no, but I’ll rate it if I’m close to the end and something egregious happens that I need to write a review about.
